... Dante may or may not be really good player in this league, but anyone pretending to know for sure is a complete idiot, as is anyone making comments to the effect that he's done nothing/shown nothing...
Yeah, Exum is much younger and less experienced of course his career win shares are less. Exums future contract is based on potential. Should JJs next contact be a bigger priority than anyone else on the Jazz?I was responding to someone that said Exum should be the Jazz' "#1" offseason priority, higher than Favors and Hood. Favors has more than 30 times as many career win-shares as Exum. 30 TIMES!!! Hood, who has played fewer than twice as many minutes as Exum, has ELEVEN TIMES as many win-shares.
Isn't the deadline over? Pretty sure we have to wait until free agency.
The way things look now is that we have two stars: Gobert and Mitchell. Ingles has become probably the fourth best player on the team. It seems it comes down to keeping Rubio or Dante. Can we keep them both? Should we? I like the vets Joe Jesus and Sefolosha. The rest of the team needs to be evaluated for possible moves. Definitely need a young stretch 4 to pair with Rudy. Favors has definitely peaked and may never again be more than an average player - or perhaps the evolution of the game with the emphasis on the 3-pt shot has turned him into an average player.

Per my post above, I think you try to keep both, unless cap space is needed. I like a 3-man rotation of Rubio, Mitchell and Exum. Notice the absence of Hood. I'd trade Rodney to bring in a starter at the 3 or 4. Just don't think he's worth the money he'll want. And doing so would keep Mitchell on the bench. Getting a good 4 is essential. I like Ingles better off the bench, but he can hold down the 3 with Sefolosha short-term. Jazz have gotten very little from the 4 though, with Favors being a cardboard cutout of his former self and JJ looking like he's already put in his papers for the Shady Oaks retirement community. The way things look now is that we have two stars: Gobert and Mitchell. I know we all don't wanna lose Hood for nothing, since we invested so much time in him. Hood, however is not the answer, we need to trade him or else we will regret it greatly.
As for now, the longer we keep Favors, Hood and Burks in our line up the more we waste time and delay our growth. We need to find trades for them for more hard nosed defenders with better scoring attributes - i know easier said then done. I also think we part ways with Exum because I think Rubio is our pg of the future.

Rubio the future??
Give me a break.
There should be a public poll on Exum. Would love to know who the homers and the haters really are![]()
You are a homer and almost everyone else is sane, reasonable.
This is the Hood moving forward, I say no also to his bad health. We have every chance of signing Hood for $12-$16Mil/yr if his output and shooting % don't significantly increase. Personally I beleive Hood will be a great scorer but may need a few more years to develop, in this instance we may end up with a great scorer at a cheap price or a significant trade piece.
Its on Hood to perform, especially in his contract year but it can work for the Jazz either way.
Exam sadly is overrated and mediocre at best, most jazz fans judge him with our hearts but if we did so with our brain we would know we made a mistake in the draft selecting him so high.Rubio the future??

In my opinion, you keep Gobert, Mitchell, Rubio, Exum, Ingles, Bradley, Jerekbo and Udoh. Everybody else is expendable if it gets us a good piece.
