What's new

Game Tread for game nr. 14 vs Timberwolves, Monday, November 13th, 7pm.

jazz making a run, the dleague scrub O'Neale comes in to brick a couple wide open threes while Burks - a 55% 3pt shooter - and Hood who was finally having a good game shooting the ball sat on the bench.

Man, Rubio has been such a disappointment this last week and half. The worst part is his defense is starting too suffer. Too many times he just gets burnt on the perimeter reaching.

Cuz they play like **** without much defensive intensity. At least O'Neale got after it.

And Burks, while he may be a great 3pt shooter, is only ready to shoot the ball on 30% of his open opportunities. He is a 3pt marksman with the mindset of a 90's guard.

This is a great point and illustrates perfectly the difference in what the team's expectations are this year.

Exum was like 15 years old and had barely been allowed out on a few excursions at school. Donovan's at a completely different level of experience and maturity in his rookie year.

I think they'll be dynamite together, can't wait to see them play together eventually

Yeah, but the run didn't come with Burks and Hood in the game. There is a cause and effect issue to consider.

Also, Ive noticed he is good on ball but pretty ordinary off ball. Falls asleep too often and helps when he doesn't need to.

Most coaches will roll with the unit who get them back in the game unless they are out of steam. O'Neale played great defense, gotta reward it .

Our bench outscored theirs 49-16.

We had 40 3 pt. attempts(14/40), they had 20(10/20).

We'll be good so as long as we build around HIM.

I don't disagree but I kind of feel like, on the offensive side of the ball at least, this team was clearly Hayward's when Exum was playing. Now Utah is needing to find a new go to on offense and thus Mitchell is given free rein in pursuit of that.

i knew somebody would say this. thing is o'neale did nothing defensively, didn't get after it, was just out there.

I agree that Dante had a tough time in Quin's dog house, some deserved and some overboard IMO. But Donovan is never going to be in anyone's dog house. He's just too good. But we've also seen that when Dante is confident and aggressive he can be pretty special, especially in summer league and with Donovan. Sucks so damn bad that we couldn't see what Dante could do along with DM this year.

Exum, Johnson, and Gobert being out really hurts.
