What's new

Donovan is pissed at some stupid Jazz Fans

You got to be dumb as rocks if you think those 3's were bad looks.

Or maybe you are Joe Ingles and only think 3's should be taken if you have 10 feet between you and the closest defender.

If you think that shooting 24/25 footers with a hand in your face while you're in a major slump are good looks then I can't help you . Those are only good looks for about 1% of NBA players in history. It's a good look for Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, Klay Thompson, etc. It's a defendable look for a proven go-to scorer on a team. It's not a good look for Rodney Hood.

Do you think anyone on the Jazz, the coaching staff or organization cringed at his post? I don't. I bet it made a lot of people proud.

There are many things athletes shouldn't post. Having your teammates back isn't one of them.

I bet some cringed. Some would have thought like some of us are posting. That (a) it draws further attention to it (b) attacks fans (who are a pretty huge part of a basketball franchise) (c) maturity questions etc

But it's a 'move on - nothing to see here' moment in reality

I was embarrassed when they booed Hood, it wasn't like anyone else was making shots. Fans should never boo their own players. I am glad DM spoke up about it. Unfortunately, a few fans always make the rest of us look bad.
It's too bad people can't use their brains and realize it's only a few people and every group has morons. Alas, that's asking a lot.

I havent read through this entire post, but I wanted to add my two cents in.
I've booed the Jazz before and I have no problems admitting it. I boo bad basketball, period. If I pay good money (and ticket prices seemingly go up every year) and I'm watching a pathetic run of basketball, I'll boo.
Example, in the 2013 season I booed the Jazz when we got destroyed by the rockets, they gave zero effort and just wanted the game to end. It was like a 40-50 point loss.
It's part of being an NBA player and getting cheered/booed for your performance. I think most fans are upset that Hood is so streaky (at least I am) and this recent run of losing games makes it really hard to watch. Hood seems to be the one taking the blunt of the blame here, which is unfortunate, because I do like him overall. .
Also its cool to see Mitchell sstick up for Hood, but this seems to be more reactionary than anything else...every fan base will boo their own team

"I definitely had my best years in Utah—as a team my best years, individually my best years and the most fun playing the game of basketball early on," Williams said.

Good article on Deron. Not that its exactly what the Jazz need but Deron signing a one or two year deal and ending his career in a Jazz uniform would just feel like the right ending to his NBA story. Truth is Jerry Sloan was the best fit Deron could have ever had in his career, and it became obvious once he left.

I dont know, man. It's hard for me to see an organization cringe for their savior sticking up for another player, showing maturity and leadership, and lighting the way.

At this point, I'd rather sign Memo. He'd be a better fit and is still likely better than Williams. Dude lost his game and is complete garbage.

Eh, I think part of it was he just gave up and stopped enjoying basketball once he left. Part of it was his injuries part of it was because he just didn’t care anymore.....it is crazy how perfect Memo in his prime would fit with the current situation. Memo in his prime is exactly what we want to exchange Favors for right now.

Memo couldn't play the 4 though

Maybe Jazz fans should boo more often. Look at Hood tonight. Taking better shots, playing with better control, actually playing defense, rebounding the basketball, PASSING the basketball. Just playing better basketball all around. And he wasn't the only one who has been struggling and played better tonight. Look at Rubio and Ingles stat lines too. We need to come together as fans and plan on when to boo in the future...

Boo this post.

You said it yourself, look at Rubio and Jingles stat lines, everyone played better tonight and it isn't a big secret as to why.
