A team that preferred to play
Mack and Neto ahead of Exum does not deserve to keep Exum. Come on Dante, sign for anothet team . You don't need more torture from Synder and criticisms from stupid Jazz fans who hate you.
Change your name. AuzzzieFan might be a good comparable.A team that preferred to play

Can we bring the Exum expectations back to earth? Let's start by hoping he becomes a decent rotation player.
Dont worry little buddy, he will probably sign with another team. I think it is very very likely he signs with another team. So you will get your wish come true.A team that preferred to play

I just want to say that I approve this new trend where we've made "LoPo" a synonym for "dumb".
Gotta say I disagree with this last year. Exum was better than Mack for most of the season. There was an argument for Mack at the beginning of the year, but Exum definitely should have been given all those backup minutes. I think it would have made the Jazz a much better team when the playoffs came around. Mack was a disaster, and Exum's development was definitely a secondary concern to keeping Hayward happy I think. Around January Mack should have been planted on the bench and never played another minute before Exum.OMG!!! Cry harder. No one here is a bigger Exum fan then me, and even I could see he needed coaching more then playing time for a team that was in a playoff chase. He's going to be very good, but he's extremely raw. There were guys that deserved playing time more then him. Players progress quicker and slower then others, his time will come sooner or later.

So, what animal are you LoPo?![]()
We passed on making a waiver claim on Deron because "we don't want him to get in the way of Exum's developement." Would rather DWill be in the way than Mack.Gotta say I disagree with this last year. Yeah I agree. They did that and then Mack still got way too many minutes after the fact. I think that one was pretty squarely on Quin though. For whatever reason he just trusted Mack a ton. I think if Mack was on this team he might be starting right now.

Exum's best game all last year was against GS in the playoffs when he got Utah back into the game that up to that point was a blowout. When everyone wanted Exum to start the 2nd half and continue his 1st half play ,his reward was back to the corner and Shane Mack starting at PG and the rout was back on.
Now Mack is in Orlando ,signed for 6 million and playing very little .Now Orlando fanz are pissed because Orlando didn't pick up Mario Hezonja's contract for 5 million and he becomes and unrestricted FA AND he's playing really good BB now.Mack's money represents Hezonja being let go.
I'd love to see Utah get Hezonja and put him in with Exum(PG),DM(SG),Hezonja(SF),Ingles(PF),Gobert(C)
I wouldnt mind picking up Hezonja for really cheap, but he isnt playing that well and in no way do I think he could start for us next year. His 3 point shot is still off. This month he is shooting 25%, last month was 32%.
He has upside and maybe still turns into a good player, but he isnt right now. He is definitely not playing "really good BB now." There is a lot to be worried about with his game. He is an end of the rotation guy, that if you could sign him for really cheap on a 2-4 year contract then you could hope to develop him, that might be worth the risk.
Playing vets and getting to the playoffs didnt hurt the development of our younger players last year and winning was not at the expense of the young guys. It did not hurt Exum's development. If anything it helped him to get to the playoffs and experience that. It also helped him to see vets play, practice and perform in games.Even though Jazz made the playoffs last year it was at the expense of the younger guys getting playing time for Diaw (gone from the NBA),Joe Johnson (likely traded or bought out ),Mack (at the end of Orlando's bench),Hill(gone to purgatory). What a mistake and the follow up is the Jazz are nosediving right now opposite of the playoffs.
Jazz look like a farmclub offering their young veterans up to the big leagues while looking for a new crop of young players to get ready for teams looking to make the playoffs.
I would rather pay Herzonja next year than Burks. We could probably get Herzonja for 2 years for what we are paying Burks for 2018-19.

The alternative is we played Exum and Lyles (our only real young guys last year) a lot more and miss the playoffs. Those guys are no better off for that. We still lose Hayward, we still (hopefully) trade Lyles and Exum still gets hurt and is the same place development wise or worse because he didn't get to experience playoffs and how to win a series.
I have watched him a little bit. He does have some good drives. But he is really poor shooter right now (a big must for the Jazz on the wing) and plays little to no defense. He does have potential. I would just assume sign him as a UFA for cheap than trade for him right now. There are not any fillers that would be worth it for the Jazz to take back. Are you looking at stats or have you watched any of their games?I watch 3/4 teams on league pass all season unfortunately there like the Jazz ,nosediving to the lottery. All expected to be in the middle of trades.Hezonja is NOT at the end of the rotation as their season goes on and is exploding to the basket for big time throwdowns. He's turned the corner and that's why I'd love the Jazz to get him cheaply if they can. Send Burks for Hezonja and filler.
