Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

start 2:37, F*** T-Mac

LOL Tmac still salty, also Pierce bringing the truth ;). As great as Simmons is he is undoubtedly the 2nd best player on that team. As much as I love Rudy I don't think there's a better big man in the league than Embiid when healthy and if you gave this team 44 games of him (like Philly has gotten) how much better would our record be?

Probably unlikely but there's a chance the game against the Rockets on the 28th features 2 teams going head-to-head on 12+ game win streaks.

welp

jazz winning, every1 else ain't losing tho.

have to control our own destiny and keep winning.

I'd put Jokic up there with him. Gobert is great defensively, but he really sucks on offense. He still has hands of stone. Just glad he's willing to set moving picks so shooters can get looks and or drives to the hoop. Someday, I predict DL will be faced with a tough decision re: Rudy.

Are you saying a center that puts up triple doubles shouldn't be considered right up there with Embiid as a top center in the league?
The reason I go there with Rudy is that some day - and I'm not saying it's next season or in three years - but with Donovan set to make $30M+ after his rookie deal and Rudy likely wanting $30M+ in his 7th year, the Jazz WILL be facing a salary crunch. The choice will be to start letting guys like Crowder and O'Neale leave or to perhaps decide a one-dimensional center isn't worth $30M.

I'm sorry. I recognize the defensive value to the team that Rudy has. But even in the P&R he's limited. How many times has he dropped the ball, or put up an ugly shot? He seems to have regressed from last season. This may be AK all over again. Signs the big contract and then doesn't work very hard in the summer. Gobert looks like he had lots of fun traveling to France and Brazil with Raul, but didn't work on his game.

A case can be made for a more mobile 5 who can shoot, especially as tax issues arise.

Except that is factually untrue. Gobert did work on his game. There were articles and interviews (like the Hoopshype one) were he talks about things he focused on in his offseason training. Yes he did go the Brazil and home but don't make stuff up to paint a narrative.
