Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Going back and looking at some videos of tillie at the first of the season and now he has actually put on some muscle

He looks a bit taller. He's having more of an impact defensively against BYU than I've seen in the past. His reactions are really good, and he's getting to the ball if the shooter is anywhere near him. He really trusts his floater in the paint. He's an interesting player.

Jazz could really use a pick-and-pop big. I just don't know if any of these guys -- Porter, Tillie or Wagner -- are guys worth taking in the mid-first. Tillie is the most mobile of the three and appears to be the best perimeter defender.

Tillie's really the only guy in that mold that I like in this draft. Wouldn't be upset with him at all in the mid first.

Projecting some growth and development, I really like Zhaire Smith. I think he has as much upside as anyone outside the top 7 of the draft. Give him 2 years, and I think he gets to 6'7" at least and develops his shot and handle. He could be be an amazing wing. He'll be a good defensive player at a minimum, and his athleticism is next-level.

Tillie's rebounding numbers are a little meh. Does he camp outside a lot?

He just hasn't been that physical a player. He's more of a finesse guy. He has a somewhat slight build and is a bit limited vertically. Not terribly explosive. I wouldn't expect him to be a double-digit rebounder. He'll need to gain 15 lbs or so and hopefully not lose mobility.

I don't need a double digit rebounder but I also don't want a 4 who's only gonna be able to muster up 6.6 rebounds a game in 31 minutes.

Gonzaga is the 4th best rebounding team in the nation by rebound rate and you are complaining about his rebounding......

And he plays 26 mpg and gets 6 rebounds, not 31 and 6.6.

I was stating arbitrary numbers for how his college numbers might translate in the NBA since what he does in college in a crap conference means nothing for how he’ll do in the NBA. Sort of obvious when I say that it’s what “I don’t want,” meaning on the Jazz.

Keep following me around though little doggy.

probably not, none of them would be impactful like Ersan Illyasova in that role..

Only real viable pick-and-pop scenario, IMO, is trading up for Wendell Carter.

There's some acceptable factors that have led to those deflated #'s, that team is built around Jonathan Williams. Tillie does leak out a lot, those 2 forwards Tillie and Hachimura are utterly unstoppable on the break, especially in that conference.
