Donovan Mitchell Highlight Videos, Spectacular Plays

Mitchell scored 18 points in just 3:34 of game time. Dear lord.
Just want to point out that this is the second time Donovan Mitchell has completely crapped on an opposing team when their superstar, MVP caliber player had his birthday. First LeBron James and now Anthony Davis.

On the flip side, I believe we enjoyed s pretty good W when it was Jerebko’s BD.

I had to work swing shift today so I didn’t get to watch the game (have it recorded doe to watch tomorrow) so thank for this lil tease.
That one finish (you know the one) was more hoodini than anything AB ever did...... and AB has done some amazing hoodini **** so that is really saying something.
How the **** he get that to go in? Magic, that’s how

Yeah. Donovan Mitchell ain't getting no invites to birthday parties ever again.

Coaches dont actually get a vote in this, right?
No, the media vote so on it. It’s sure nice to see the guys who actually play the game and those more deeply involved in the game all are so impressed by Donovan and all have said he’s their ROY.

I get that other guys on the Jazz, especially Rubio and Rudy, deserve just as much credit for the success the team is having, but Donovan deserves so many thanks and so much credit for what he’s doing. Listening to David Locke on 1280 today kind of talk about Donovan he has to be going through a whirlwind right now. This kid is 21 years old and becoming insanely popular. Locke talked about how he has two phones and he said everyone he’s ever known or had the number to the one phone has been blowing it up. Not to mention the social media aspect of things that there are always brutal comments and people.

Every time he’s out I’m sure he gets approached for pictures and autographs. He’s the face of the franchise going through his first 82 game season, playing 38-41 minutes a night and essentially putting the team on his back when he feels they need it all while keeping the respect and acceptance of all his teammates and coaches and never getting arrogant about it. He does more media interviews than anyone and has been out and interactive in the community. He’s kept it all together and stayed true to who he is and I think he always will. Yes he can handle it, and has the right personality to be the guy who can handle it but he’s 21.....21. I know I know this is for highlights, but Donovan is an impressive individual, and everyone deserves credit, but let’s all love this kid.

LO ****ing L. Nobody deserves as much credit for the winning as Donovan and it's not close. Rudy is one of my all-time favorite players, but his ability to contribute is more dependent on his teammates' offensive gravity more than most, and the early season returns bear that out. Rubio's net contribution for the entire season has probably been close to neutral, he wasn't a positive contributor until about six weeks ago.

I'm very much about the whole being greater than the sum of its parts, but make no mistake, Donovan is this team's engine and its fuel.

I'm aware this was probably just you gregariouy using something of a figure of speech and that my response wasn't necessary, but... *shrugs*

I think the jazz would have a worse record this year with no Rudy than with no Mitchell.

Yeah I don't know about that. I dont think it's unreasonable to think that even without Mitchell becoming an actual superstar this team would have won 40-45 with a healthy Gobert. Somehow he is still underrated even by our own fanbase.

We kinda saw that before Mitchell was good. It wasn't a long period of time, but it wasn't good, to the extent that people openly proposed trading Rudy (and I was adamantly not one of them for those of you that lack nuance).

Donovan was playing great November through January. It wasnt until Rudy came back that we started to dominate. I mean, look at our defensive rating since Rudy came back, it's insane.
