Deron Williams Jazz Career Mix

Knowing the reputation Jazz fans have, someone will throw a battery at him when he returns.

Watching that just makes me remember how disinterested and nonexplosive he seemed this last season. I don't know if it was injuries or his head was not in it or what but the guy playing for us for a fair amount of last season was not the D-will that started with the Jazz. Sad though that we don't get to see that amazing player every game now. Hopefully the young guys will step up and fill that void.

I just noticed something in that video. In the last clip of the Charlotte game winner from this past season you can see Sloan telling Deron to go immediately, but Deron wants to wind the clock down and play for the last shot...the warning signs we never saw.

DWill was an awesome player, but I won't miss his glares at teammates and his poor body language. He was a jerk, but he was our jerk. It was amazing to see a player decline so rapidly last season. I'll bet he had more wrong with him than just the wrist. He didn't seem quick and didn't seem to jump as well as previous seasons. I think he will have an amazing season next year, and hopefully he will be happier.

The irony is most of us saw them, but at the time it was attritubed to swagger rather than genuine friction. Here's a post I made after the Charlotte game:

If you watch the replay, Sloan, Corbin and Layden were motioning for Deron to go earlier but Deron kept dribbling the ball and ran the clock down under 10 seconds as if the Jazz were tied and not down 1. Normally - since you're trailing - you want to go as fast as possible to maximize possessions in case you don't score - but Deron's attitude was 'No, I got this. Not only am I scoring but you're not getting the ball back with enough time to do anything.'

The past 3 games Deron's been a basketball assassin, and I loved the emotion he showed at the end.
Winning can overcome alot of issues. Losing magnifies them.

Who knows how Dwill's season will go next year. He will have a ton of media attention about if he is going to sign an extension and stay, or bolt as a one year rental. That could damper his team's chances of making the playoffs and dong well.

I think Deron comes out with a chip on his shoulder. Seems like amongst Rose, Westbrook, and CP3 this year he was kind of forgotten about. His wrist should be good to go and I think next year he beasts in a big way.

I think he'll be fine next year, he is supposed to be entering his prime isn't he? Regardless, I'll still remain a fan of his

thanks for comments

Holy **** I miss him unbelievably. This draft seriously is make or break, I really hope this trade proves to benefit us. Absolute best of luck to the Nets, and to Deron Williams himself in all of his future teams unless he joins the Lakers of course. Id love to see him in a Jazz uni again some time in the future, hell still always be league-wide #1 PG to me amongst CP3, Rose and the others.
After watching Rose and Westbrook's ballhogging, bricklaying, non-clutch performances in the playoffs, To me, Deron is still the best point guard in the league.

After the regular season I thought it was obvious Derek Rose had surpassed Deron - but Rose's struggles with some rudimentary things like getting doubled at the end of quarters and turning it over have left the door open. Think it's a 3-man race with Rose, DWill and CP3 in some order - and wouldn't be surprised if that order changes each season - but if I had to pick one, I'd pick Deron.

I think D-Rose will probably be better than Deron in a couple years but Deron's certainly the better PG right now when healthy

Mad props for the awesome video, reminds me of what the Jazz could have been. Regardless, we still have a brighter a future with favors and this 3rd pick (if the jazz get it right!). Anyways, Deron would have "Lebroned" us and we would have been even more pissed. The Jazz traded him to save his own face.

Also, what is the song you used?
