What's new

Would anyone be upset if the Jazz selected...

Those DD highlights in the 5 on 5 are impressive. The hustle reminds me of Spida a little. He seems like our type of guy, mindset wise.

I do love though that’s Okogie quote about motor.

DD just looks like a natural basketball player too. His shot. His handle. Most guys seem like they aren’t natural at those things. He does. For shooting, I think that’s huge.

That's really what stands out to me and why I really like him.

The player that I just don't get it on all the excitement is Troy Brown. I just don't see any explosion and any athleticism. I would take Frazier over Brown any day. Troy Brown's combine numbers were near the bottom in all agility measurables. 33 inch max vertical etc.

Is there any reason DD can’t be a better version of Redick?
Uhh, Redick is a generational type talent as a shooter. He probably cant be a better version. He is going to be have to be a different type of player.

DD is a career 70% ft shooter. Redick has never shot under 86% for a full season (besides his 2nd but he only played 30 games that year due to injury).

FT% is what gives me pause on a guy like Huerter too. He is talked about in terms of Korver and Thompson, but he doesnt have the FT% numbers those guys had. FT% being high for their entire careers, starting in college, is a pretty common denominator among the best ever in terms of shooting.

I don’t want DD or Allen at 21.And I don’t le how often those names are being thrown around.

The only smaller guard I would want is Okobo. Otherwise I want a big *** wing.

Frazier is nearly 3 years older (he's like 2.8 years older)and his shot is actually borderline broken. He had better % numbers than Brown, but like I said, he is 3 years older. Frazier shot 29% his first year and 27% his 2nd year from 3. He shot 39% this year, but that might just be an anomaly. He still has a lot of mechanical issues with his shot. He might just be a Wesley Johnson type where he learns to dominate college once he gets older due to his high level athleticism and length. I still really like Frazier due to his defensive potential, but he isnt on Brown's level as a prospect.

Brown is the 2nd youngest player in the draft and he might be the smartest player in the draft. He's more athletic than his numbers say and he should only get better as he ages into his athletic prime.

I'll be onboard with any decision DL and Quin make. Lindsey was truly a magic man after Hayward's departure last July. The three vets he signed all produced. And then I was WTF? after he signed O'Neale as Utah already had a full roster. So he gets my vote for whatever his decision will be on draft day.

Im going to make a bold prediction and say the Jazz will draft Anfernee Simons. He's got a lot of upside and Jazz can afford to let him develop in the GLeague. I expect Lindsey will sign a FA and Crowder, O'Neale and Exum will have a chance to earn major minutes. Then perhaps Burks and other expirings get packaged at the deadline depending on need - i.e. PF or scoring wing.

Fair enough about FT shooting. I looked at Redick’s college 3 point numbers and they weren’t amazing and was basing my comment off of that and their size and athleticism.

Werent amazing? He was 40% every year on high volume. This was before the 3pt craze too. His numbers were insane for that time.

JJ was one of my all time favorites to watch... he was amazing.

DD and JJ are white guys... not comps doe. I say from now on as a general rule when you comp a white guy you need to go cross race.

It might be the hair and complexion but I think he is more like delonte west than JJ.
