Given that Lindsey has drafted two stars, i think it's safe to say some other GM's might try to figure out what prospects he may like the most. I think Huerter likely has a promise. Whether that's with Utah is anyone's guess. He hasnt worked out for anyone since then. It's very possible it's a smokescreen by the Jazz.
Something that's worth pointing out about Okobo. His shooting projection is arguably better than Huerter... or pretty much anybody in the draft. Most analytical projections rely on 3 factors - attempts from 3, 3p%, FT%.... Okobo is better than Huerter on ALL of those.
1. attempts - Okobo 7.5 3pFGA/40, Huerter 6.8 3pFGA/40
2. 3p% - Okobo 41.8%, Huerter 41.7%
3. FT% - Okobo 83.5%, Huerter 76%
Worth pointing out that the FIBA 3p line is farther away than the college line too... Okobo also takes a lot of off the dribble 3s.
Where has Huerter worked out since deciding to stay in the draft?
Troy Brown isn't the greatest run/jump athlete, but he's very coordinated, plays on balance and moves very fluidly for his size. These are some of the same attributes that made Hayward more athletic than he looked or based on how he tested at the Combine.
Again, look at Lance Stephenson. He's not the fastest or bounciest, but he's strong, coordinated and plays with decent body control.
Brown's standing vert was 26.0 inches. Hayward's was 30.5 inches.
Brown's max vert was 33.0 inches. Hayward's was 34.5.
Brown's 3/4 sprint was 3.33 seconds. Hayward's was 3.22 seconds.
Brown's lane agility was 11.51 seconds. Hayward's was 11.73.
Brown did 5 reps on benchpress. Hayward did 10.
Hayward tested much better at the combine than Brown.

According to a writer at SI, Huerter has been turning down workouts in the mid-20s. That's one of the factors that led SI to speculate that he has a promise with the Jazz.
I’m all in on this Hayward guy!

Hayward was also 20.
I’m 99% sure we didn’t promise Huerter. He has a finger injury and likely got enough feedback that he is cool ******** down workouts.
The way DL talked in that interview they are clearly not settled on a guy yet... stated they had an “emotional” meeting about a prospect that day or the previous day.
I’m locked in on Okobo... anyone else will be a mild disappointment or I will be devastated if we take Grayson Allen or a true center.
wtf is an emotional meeting?
wtf is an emotional meeting?
Your statement had nothing to do with age though. You essentially implied Hayward had a poor combine like Brown did.
