*Breaking News* Kawhi Wants Out

Yah but if any organisation can shut his dad up it's the Spurs IMO.

They can’t **** up uncle Dennis doe? Ball is brings his whole clown show with him and he isn’t good enough to justify it. I’d take Ingram Kuzma and picks.

Exactly.

If Ainge is pragmatic, and I think he is, he would do that deal is a heart beat. Kyrie, Brown, Hayward, Leonard and Horford gives you perennial NBA Finals for the next half a decade. You've got shooting. You've got length. You've got size. You've got defense. And all 5 can shoot 3's at an elite level for crying out loud!!!!!!

If that doesn't make you excited I don't know what will.

And if Tatum is the price for that ticket to the Finals - you do it.

Nah keep Tatum... use Kyrie or Gordon plus Brown or Rozier and picks. I’d give them a choice of Kyrie/Brown or Gordon Rozier and the Kings pick... I’d be fine throwing in the 2018 pick they have to make it work. Gets an all star, young guy, and draft compensation.

I think Lakers try to make them eat Dengs contract... with Ingram and Kuzma plus picks.

I think the Spurs will wait until the Lebron sweepstakes is over. If he signs in LA along with PG, then the trade with them would be PG for Kawhi. The Spurs don't want another superstar team out west. There are other teams who missed out on LeBron, who will be hungry enough to get Kawhi they will give a ton. Celtics have assets equal to LA, Sixers come to mind. Even New York Knicks have been reported to have interest. Then, there are three team trade options. I could be wrong, but LA would have to give the Spurs enough for them to feel they could compete with Golden State, Houston and the new LA Allstar Lakers. The Spurs are a well run organization, who I doubt will shoot themselves in the foot, with other valuable offers out there. Kyrie and Hayward I'd think would get it done for the Celtics. Spurs get better at two positions and send Kawhi east. JMHO.

Lets hope he goes east. Lets thin out the West a little. Especially if Lebron goes to LA. The West is too damn stacked.

I hope the Spurs do the right thing, and get him out of the conference.

Bos won't trade Kyrie. Brown or Hayward won't get it done from the Spurs side of things.

Ingram is better than Brown as a prospect and better than Hayward in that they can keep him long term.

So I think the Spurs would hold out for Tatum.

Kyrie said he isnt going to sign an extension this off season, which is smart because it would cost him like 60 million bucks. BUT he never said he would want to sign the extension....also I've heard rumors that Kyrie is interested in signing with the Knicks next season.
So if I am Ainge and Kyrie can get me Kawhi, I do it easily. I'd offer picks and anyone they want besides Tatum.

Well if you have that much info about Kyrie, what info do you think Buford has?

If he knows Kyrie isn't going to stay there is no way he'll take Kyrie for Kawhi... the Spurs are one of the best at this. Like I'd said they'll face the same situation again next year with Kyrie threatening to leave, etc, they'd rather get young talent now and move forward instead of being held hostage again next year.

Would any of you trade Tatum for Leonard? I mean Leonard is the best player, and you don't really need to give up any of the rest of your assets other than cap filler.

Kyrie, Brown, Leonard, Hayward, and Horford plus some strong bench pieces gives you a cakewalk into the finals, even if Lebron stays in the East. You get to keep your picks to deal for a superior bench as well.

I would.
Celtics have tons of good assets to offer the spurs. Lots of options that I would trade for kahwi. Tatum straight up being one of them.

If Boston tried to get Kawhi with Brown or Tatum, the trade becomes very difficult financially.

If Boston used Brown, Rozier and a pick, they would also have to send Morris, Yabusele, Ojeleye and Nader: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y92avbme

It would very similar for Tatum.

Without sending Kyrie, Hayward or Horford, the trade is very difficult financially. And if they wait until the new fiscal year, it gets tougher since Boston has no space and Kawhi makes more.

Hayward is not tradeable at this time. I don't think anyone is going to take on that contract with the recent injury until he proves he is healthy for another season.
Leonard also effectively missed all of last season to injury too, and also has an significant contract. Yet he seems to be tradeable.

Surely Fultz, Saric and #10 pick would be a competitive offer

Better than whatever LA can offer, IMO.

People (NBA writers mostly) suggesting the Spurs will trade Kawhi Leonard while taking back Deng’s contract in the process.....I mean, read that again.

I honestly think Ball is the least valued by most teams out of the LA/BOS/PHIL rookies, so then you’re at Ingram/Kuz and pics AND Deng’s deal?

BOS/PHIL have so much better pieces to offer and they are in the east.

In the new fiscal year, Philly definitely can offer something Boston cant. Philly could take back a bunch more in salary because they will have cap space. San Antonio would like that.

The Lakers have the same situation, but they are the Lakers.

I think there is a significantly different level on the severity of Haywards injury and the questionable severity of the Kawhi injury. Kawhi was walking around and you couldn't tell which direction Hayward was moon walking.

I read that this morning and thought “the one constant after 18hrs, half of which was overnight?”.

I very seriously doubt SA’s front office has even started talking names like that this early. The NBA media these days is just hackish, and that’s being kind.

Ingram and Kuzma is a great package... I doubt Boston puts Tatum in the table. I’d rather have Ingram than Saric... Fultz scares me. I think I’d try and get Ingram Kuzma picks and Hart. I’d make them keep Deng though. Get a 2021 unprotected pick in the deal... that draft is gonna be good if one and done is abolished that year.
