Following Potential 2018 Draftees

IMO Huerter will go lottery. I think there will be tons of turns and twists outside the top 8. Teams will get enamored with prospects up and down the draft. Huerter will move up I think, because of his shot and length.

I could see that. In that scenario, I think I'd want to get on the phone with Philly and trade 21 for 26 and 39.

Jerome Robinson has skyrocketed up mock drafts. Seems there's a very small chance he's even available by the time the Jazz pick. He's pushed Troy Brown down. He's #17 on Givony's mock draft on ESPN insider and #16 on NBAdraft.net.

That because people are seeing he's got an NBA game up close. Kid has an it factor, a little swagger, and is a smart player.

one of you trade scenario enthusiasts want to try and reverse engineer how the 76ers could piece together an offer worthy of a top 5 pick without including saric or covington??

"This draft," one Western Conference assistant GM said, "is going to change the way the way the game is played over the next 8 to 10 years, because the way to beat teams that play small ball and switch everything is to have skilled big guys. And that's what this draft is full of."

What is the opposition to Brunson? I get not being excited, but I'm not seeing a lot there to dislike.

Spending the 21st pick on a guy who will be nothing but a 3rd string PG for multiple years is just not good value imo. That's why I hope we avoid the pure PG's (Brunson, Holiday, Carter). I like them all as prospects to a certain extent. I just don't think a replacement for the Neto role is worth the 21st pick. If we take a guard there it has to be one with combo guard skills.

Same issue with Bradley last year... just see it as low upside and can get a backup pg on the market fairly cheap. He’s too small to be a starter imo. In the 30s or 40s I’m totally cool with that pick doe.

Tony Bradley will make all our dreams come true. We knew he'd be a project - he's still only 20. Jazz got a bargain because he's a young center and won't be in his prime for another few years. I am still a Bradley homer - he has a lot of room to improve physically. I think he'll be a good scoring/rebounding big - a suitable defender as well but by no means a big impact player on defense.

I agree about Brunson - his game I dislike most because he's going to have trouble guarding most NBA PGs. But whomever DL drafts I will support as DL is one of the best GMs around.

You're wasting your time with Bradley. He sucks. Other teams know he sucks too. He has 0 trade value too. You'd almost have to compensate a team for taking him and his contract.

Agree. Think he only has room for marginal improvement and limited athletically he’s overall limited in his skill set, here’s hoping he develops a three point shot.

I admittedly didn't pay much attention to the Stars other than highlight clips but I think TB has slight poor-man Lamarcus Aldridge potential. I think he definitely has value.

Bradley can get double-doubles and bully small-ball centers all day. He's a good counter move to teams playing guys like PJ Tucker at the 5.

Spellman actually intrigues me for the reasons his homers state.

But, obviously not in the first round.

Or we could create some propaganda videos, send them to teams with second round picks, and convince them that they should take our 52 and the rights to a guy who is "NBA ready" in exchange for their second rounder.

We could even advertise him as the poor man's Porzingis. Poorzingis!
