Well, I'm back in town for a few hours. . . . all I care about in this forum is the whole rep issue. It's so. . . . . . undeniably. . . . . .personal.
Other forums have rules against personal attacks; this forum institutionalizes them. Well, as long as you don't cross certain ambiguous "lines". While it's OK to say "please die", sometimes. . . . well, depending. . . . . uhhhhhhmmmmmm. . . . . on the moderators' current moods or . . . . . uuuuhhhhhhhmmmmmmm. . . . . . wishes, you could still get an FBI case file all your own just the same.
wait. . . . . somebody just reminded me that if what you say is appropriately "close" to the truth, some people will laugh and think you said something funny, but it's never funny to hit the truth head on dead-center. Oh well.
Probably the FBI is understaffed to deal with this issue anyway, and I'd rather cut their budget than pay for that kind of activity. Just like our unpaid mods really don't need trouble from us.
So, anyway, this forum is better than others I've explored in one or more important ways. Rep may be one of the reasons we don't have the problems others have. And for what it's worth, this forum is remarkably tolerant of different opinions and if you can state yours well and include some sort of link to supporting information it rises to the level even of being informative.
Neat trick for a sports forum.
