NBA SUMMER LEAGUE 2018

Lmfao, breathe.

Relax. Lol. Allen looked very good, I know he didn’t shoot well, but I blame his nerves being his first game and all. He’ll be a pretty good player no doubt. He did nothing but make good plays up and down the court and got people open looks and was active.

Don’t think Allen is a bust or anything... ****.

Fair to question the strategy of going for the big upside swing on a big that looks like a very traditional replaceable big you could get for the minimum and passing on a decent ready now wing and then reversing course when some guys with big upside are available...

Breathe... relax... k

Alen and Bradley both looked pretty good to me. Can’t believe people are still bitching about a #28th pick that is 20 years old. Whatever the Jazz are doing, it’s working. He’s better then he was at this point last year by miles.

DL isn’t even counting on him taking rotation minutes until next year. He’s still a baby in terms of development. Be patient. I think he’s coming along well.

As far as strategy, Donovan’s emergence changed a lot of things moving forward.

Why does NBA.com only have partial box scores? It's like it's only tracking people who were just drafted or are under contract.

One of the hardest things for a rookie to do is impact the game when their shot isn’t falling.

Allen did a very good job of that. Needs a lot of work on defense, but wasn’t awful. His shot will fall, because it always has, and we’ll know we have a well rounded player.

He also took shots last night that he won’t take very often playing with the Jazz. He did show a nice floater that I don’t recall ever seeing though...that’ll be a big addition to his game if he can improve there.

did Bradley solely play the 5?

Of course only the 5, Bradley looked decent.. Derrick White was the best player in the game though who we passed on to draft Bradley. :p

Some other observations:

Glad we didn't draft Lonnie Walker - told y'all one of the most overrated players in this draft class
Grayson looks good but not a DM45 summer league performance from anyone except Derrick White
Niang
looks quicker than Jingles
This Kendrick Ray, he might be a better player than Exum lol
The guy from Purdue who went undrafted, Martin, looks like nice prospect.

Sidenote - I was watching the game with my 4 year old son who pointed at Lonnie Walker and said "he has hair like Groot."

I didnt know what to tell him.

Sent from my VS995 using JazzFanz mobile app

Has your son seen Elfrid Payton? If so, what did he think about that?

White looked good but in no means was he Mitchell-like. He’s a second-year player and he shot 9-21. Impressive that he had a 0 +- even though they lost by 16 and were down almost 30 at one point.

Martin (Kelan?) looked like a scrub to be honest I was expecting more out of him.

Locke had a good comparison for Ray which was Bryce Cotton. Not better than Exum at all so I hope you’re joking about that.

Niang was impressive he’s got some Diaw/Ingles feel to his game.

Passing on Hart to take Bradley and subsequently taking Reaching a bit for Allen will likely bug me for years.

For my sanity I need Okobo to bust.

You can feel better knowing that fans of every team in the nba feel the same way about decisions made by their franchise.

You kinda outlined my argument against the pick... he’s a project playing a position that has an abundance of available and ready talent... now we kill a draft pick, roster spot, and years of development to develop our backup center... not bitching about it... just saying the strategy changing from “big swings” to “ready made” guys may have come in the wrong draft years.

People freaking out about posters challenging some decisions is what runs some good posters off... not saying you were doing that.

In general I hope people respond with something more intelligent than “breathe” “relax” “quit bitching” when people question things the front office does... no one is perfect or beyond reproach when it comes to nba decisions mmmmmkay!

I just hope we made the right decision... was a curious pick at the time but I thought that was the drafting strategies... long term high upside guys.

I questioned the pick at the time so it’s not hindsight... and yes no one is perfect... every GM makes questionable moves... and it’s the kind of things we discuss on fan boards.

I think it’s fair to question what DL does at times I mean he has had his fair share of mistakes albeit very minor ones.

If the biggest gripe you have with him is taking Bradley at #28 over Hart than the man is doing pretty damn good.

You’re a great poster, one of the best we have and I would hate to see you go. Don’t take it to heart too much.

Except Golden State and the Lakers right now.

I'm just saying before I paid Exum 15 Million I'd ask to see him play 6'2 Ray 1 on 1 for the lolz If he doesn't demolish him, and he might not, I wouldn't feel that bad about letting Exum go.

Exum would send you the tape of him shutting down James harden.

I was encouraged by Allen... he won’t shoot that much or have the ball that much... was not thrilled with defensive effort on a couple plays... lazy *** close out to white on one... that shot will land him on the bench and he will try harder. He looks like he can get to the places he needs and make good passes I believe in his shooting.

what do you mean by adjust? mitchell was great in his first game. mitchell was just good.

two foot vs one foot... he learned how to score better. and yeah He was still good but he became amazing I guess.

Allen will learn what not to do. He already showed it by using a floater
