What's new

Orlando Summer League info, July 5th-9th

I'm interested in seeing what Dragicevic can bring. He's compared to a (very) poor mans Larry Bird. He is 6'9", and is in between a 3 and 4 player.

I remember when we drafted him that I thought it was a waste of pick. He seemed slow, like he had no jumping ability, was mechanical, and his FG% was under 50% (which sucks for a big imo) in some mediocre foreign league.

Assuming they stream the games over the internet, I will record and compile some highlights of our draft picks, Gaines, Jeffers, and Drag, just as I did last year.

I'm glad they're giving Paul Harris another shot. Jeffers will have to play well to make the roster again. Also it will be interesting if Boom Tho Benson outplays Koufos.

Davidson, Benson and townes seem 10X more intriguing than Kosta. All are athletic, big and block shots. Also excited to see Rice, Harris and our 2 draft picks and tadija

I liked Jermario Davidson coming out of Alabama a couple of years ago, but he has bounced around the league without much to show for it.

Players with legit chance to make roster- Rice, Harris, Dragicevic, Benson, Evans. Of course Hayward, Koufos are guaranteed. Others just don't seem have any standout non NBA stats anywhere they have played.

So put together a 14 man roster from Jazz players and the summer league players that could be opening day roster.

Jermareo Davidson averaged 15.9 pts and 10.7 rebs in a Turkey league last year (have no idea how good of competition is in that league. James Augustine played in a the main Spanish league last year and did ok (averaged 8.6 pts and 7.1 rebs). If we don't resign Boozer, there will likey be an opening for a 3rd PF. Looks like we'll have enough quality competition that if someone can standout at PF, they could get a long look for the roster next season.

Did Paul Harris play anywhere last year? I love that guy. Not too bad of a summer league roster, I think. Although, without knowing a couple of the players fully, the ones I do know, we might struggle to put the ball in the bucket consistently.

Agree.

Harris just might have made the roster last season over Matthews had he not been injured.

He got drafted 8th in the DLeague then had ankle surgery and didn't play at all last year.

Boom Tho vs. Boom Bitches!

You know it!

That's because you haven't watched them enough to see their flaws on display.
