I had a friend who I had known since I was 2 years old. We lived next door to each other for about 10 years. He started partying with a bunch of date raping frat boy wannabes in high school. I partied with them several times, and they were slimy, but the end of it for me was when before a party one night a couple of them talked about taking turns on a girl I introduced to the group who I had known since middle school and for whom I knew this had been her first sexual experience. After the douchebag was done telling his story he looked at me, and I guess my facial expression gave away the fact that I was absolutely sick to my stomach. He said "What? You don't think that's funny?" I looked at him and said, "No, I don't. I think it's sad." I left and didn't talk to my lifelong friend much at all and never spent time with him or them again. He was in love with his cool new group of friends.

Anyway, I hope Kavanaugh gets what he deserves.

it's sad so many guys just go along with garbage like that. Hopefully it'll not be the norm as time goes on.

These women should just stop complaining. It's like they haven't even considered how fun rape is. Maybe if they stopped screaming "No, No, No" they might enjoy themselves. This dude went to Yale! Don't they realize how many women would die to get with a guy who went to Yale? They probably just mad he didn't marry them. Typical women. You hold them down and have sex with them and just because you didn't call em the next day they cry rape. Whatever. It's like so lame bro

I don't think Blasey-Ford's accusations are going to be enough to stop Kavanaigh from getting confirmed. Something else more credible would need to emerge.

The prosecutor's memo makes Ford's claim look specious.

The prosecutor hired by Republicans issued a memo that supports their nominee? Quelle Surprise.

Those dudes should run for office. They would fit right in

That memo is a joke. She says no reasonable prosecutor would pursue the case. Well no **** sherlock, there hasn't been an investigation yet, and what interviews there have been of Ford and Kavanaugh were done in a format that she herself ridiculed. Hell she only spoke to Kavanaugh for ten minutes lol.

But don't take my word for it:

Matthew Long, a defense attorney who once worked for Mitchell as a sex-crimes prosecutor, was quoted as calling her “the best” in a story in a local newspaper last week, before the memo was issued. On Monday, Long said he was surprised to see that she cited Ford’s gaps in memory as evidence of the weakness of her allegation.

“The things that she’s highlighting that say that Dr. Ford is not credible are the very things she has taught me to ignore and not rely on,” he said in an interview. The memo, he said, “demonstrates she’s abandoned what she knows to be true in favor of being a political operative.”

Hmmmm. If this is all just a last minute left wing smear job why was Brett trying to find ways to discredit Ramirez back in July? From that same NBC article:

Further, the texts show Kavanaugh may need to be questioned about how far back he anticipated that Ramirez would air allegations against him. Berchem says in her memo that Kavanaugh “and/or” his friends “may have initiated an anticipatory narrative” as early as July to “conceal or discredit” Ramirez.

This would be a good reason for Kavanaugh to not be eager for an FBI investigation.

If this is a total smear job I feel for him, but wow, his temperament is about as 180° from a Supreme Court justice as it gets. Even if it was a total fabrication he should have kept his cool. Now if he does get confirmed he'll easily be the biggest partisan hack on the Court, and that's an impressive feat with the current makeup of the court.

Perhaps text messages to colleagues about the ramirez situating months before she came forward?

lol now some clown is talking about a bar fight in 1985 .. . this is so much better than any TV drama
The most damning part of that story is that Brett and company willingly attended a UB40 concert.

Weirdest part is when this guy makes an entrance.

I get the temperament argument, but keep in mind that's his temperament when he's being accused of a sex crime on national TV and being asked to answer for it in front of the Senate that's trying to confirm him for the Supreme Court. It's a pretty extreme situation, and he's under a lot of pressure, obviously. He chose the angry, defiant denial approach. He went all in.

He tried to be Trump - unfortunately for him, Trump has has had 70 consecutive years of practice being a d-bag. From the looks of it this guy was a d-bag at one time but somewhere along the way grew up, got married and had kids. Now he decided his best course of action is to try to re-summon the inner d-bagness that he's been suppressing for the last 30 or so years - didn't work out very well.

Very convenient line in the sand you draw there. Not buying it... But it sure is purdy.
