I don’t see redundancy. I think they would fit great together. But I do think me and you don’t see Mitchell the same way in that kind of role. But I believe. And a 25 PPG deadeye to share the backcourt with him sounds like the perfect catalyst for Mitchell at the 1.I honestly think he's a step below, especially considering he's bit redundant to Mitchell.
He sort of would be, but I think it's everything outside of that that pays off... the spacing and the additional defensive pressure off both of them.I honestly think he's a step below, especially considering he's bit redundant to Mitchell.
YesIf we land Otto Porter, how does that affect the starting lineup, or does OP start at the 4?

Uhh, Skal/Giles/Jackson/Koufus/Shump are all dumpster juice. Well, maybe not Giles, but the others are dumpster juice. I dont think Vlade wants to trade Giles. Supposedly he is mad at Joeger for not playing Giles and Bagley enough.OP will cost more than just expirings... unless the Kings are stupid... which they are, but they have momentary glimpses of intelligence.
They could do Koufos/Shump and one of Skal/Giles/Jackson for OP Jr. and Jason Smith. Koufus and Shump would be rotation players... they'd get a young guy... and they'd be almost out of the tax. Saves like $8M in salary this year and like 15-16M in luxury tax... so $20M+ in savings plus will free up the space for next year.
I don't know if OP is young enough to satisfy Vlade and Vivek... they'd prolly prefer Buddy/Bojan to start at the wing with Fox and are already irked that Joeger isn't starting Bagley at the 4.

Plus Porter has a little bit of control over where he goes with his trade kicker. If they want vets, Utah has better expiring vets.
Jazz arent going to trade Ricky if they are getting Porter.I think Washington is willing to write the year off... that's kind of what they are signaling if they are willing to put Wall and Beal out there. So saving $20M (depending on if OP will waive the trade kicker) and getting rotation guys... Koufos would start for them (they are a **** rebounding team and he's a good rebounder) and Shump has been good this year. They get a young player to say they didn't just dump him for expirings.
If we could put Favs on the table now I think we'd have better offer. I don't think they'd have a lot of interest in keeping Ricky.
So what are you saying the Jazz trade is to get Porter? If we get Porter, the starter issues with Rubio arent as glaring since OP can shoot. Also, we keep Favors so that means he can beast the 2nd unit with Crowder.
Starters:
Rubio, DM, Ingles, OP and Gobert
2nd Unit:
Exum, O'Neale, Crowder, Favors
Grayson, Niang, Neto fight for that 5th spot in the 2nd unit.
