WOJ: Korver to Jazz for Burks and 2 second rounders

He will help us win... he can play in the playoffs. Space is critical and will open stuff up. He will have games where he is extremely impactful and only scores 5-10 points.

You can't give him an inch... on screens two dudes have to watch him. This is not rocket surgery.

He’s not getting us into the playoffs

Yes, we needed to give up future draft picks to get older, less athletic and worse defensively. Go Jazz.

Love you HH, I can't agree with you on this move.

Can you tell me what recent 2nd rounders have turned into for the Jazz? They're throw ins.

I bet the defense is better, who cares how old Korver is if he's still a deadeye (seriously I don't get this?) and the gravity itself opens up a lot more for everybody else.

I agree with you that I really, really don't like giving up 2 2nd-rounders here. The Jazz moving assets like they're in win-now mode. If Jazz suddenly go 45-16 over the remainder of the season I guess we won't be complaining so much, but I really don't see that happening.

Korver helps because a) there will be more space for people to drive in the paint, and b) we won't need Jae and Thabo to take so many 3s. Actually, I think the Jazz are a bit pissed that Royce O'Neale won't take open 3s.

I would’ve rather traded for someone who could’ve.

We desperately needed someone to spread the floor when Ingles is on the bench. That's what this move was about. The question is whether 2 2nd-rounders was worth it (Burks was a UFA and below-average NBA player who wasn't coming back, so he's the smallest part of the deal to me).
