Game Thread - Trail Blazers @ Jazz 8:30 PM MTN

Thanks to my idiot family I had to watch the game on tape delay. Thankgod for modern technology. Gobert is back to reaping souls. God knows what he did with and to Nurkic’s soul tonight

Or an interior defender to clean up after them. He can basically blow by the perimeter guys and finish under minimal pressure.

Exum's cumulative stats in the two games against Portland: 38 mins, 11-16 FG, 1-1 3P, 3 rb, 12 as, 1 st, 1 to, 23 pts. Some of that was in garbage time tonight, but it's still better than he's done against any other team in the league. But if he can bring that floater every night, maybe we'll see more stat lines like this from him.
They have good interior defenders. Nurkic very good at guarding the rim.

Jingle ball jingle ball jingle all the way

Oh what fun it is to drain a 3 right in your face.
THE ORIGINAL JINGLE JOE

Jingle Joe, Jingle Joe, jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to watch,
A three-pointer on the way,
Hey ...
Jingle Joe, Jingle Joe, jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to watch,
A three-pointer on the way.

Passing Alley-oops
The Slo-oh-mo lay-ups
Bantering with opponents
Keeping Dante calm
Doesn't Doc wish
He didn't cut Joe
We're so glad he did
Now we can say ho-ho,
Oh ...

Jingle Joe, Jingle Joe, jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to watch
A three-pointer on the waaaaaay

Love the truly irrational hate for Exum.

Look at the statlines of our other perimeter players. IF Exum's good game can be attributed to the poor perimeter and/or interior defense of the Blazers, then surely at least one of our other perimeter players would have had a career night, especially Mitchell, who also has a quick first step and can get to the rim easily against poor defenders.

This is how you know you're just a hater: when your disguised arguments against the guy you hate don't even make sense. Mitchell would have gone off for 40 if the argument made any sense at all.

The Blazers are an average defensive team. If you want to argue against Exum, use his dismal PER or BPM, but at least have the balls to recognize when he has a single good game.

Agreed. Our schedule is going to be very favorable moving forward and the team is clicking right now.

...we need to figure out the free throw woes before the playoffs and we’ll be be a tough team to beat.
Maybe Karl can share a few of his mutterings with the team?

Dante looked as impressive as ever last night. His head didn't look like it was about to fall off, did he get a breathing coach?

Just going to leave this here.

Blazers are a decent team and we beat them handily. 3-2 against potential playoff teams (should have been 4-1). It's beginning to look a lot like last season again....

After Nurk and Lillard you got a shaky CJ and not much else.

Stotts deserves a lot of credit for keeping that team competitive in the West but I think they'll eventually fall back.
