2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

Looks talented to me. Still on rookie scale for two more years after this one.

Tonight against okc he made the game winning shot and then the game saving defensive stand against pg13.

Smith intrigues me, but he seems like a more score first, ball dominant player. Dallas wants to trade him because they want the ball in Doncic's hands. Likewise, we want the ball more in Mitchell's hands if we do any iso or for late game stuff.

In terms of style, a guy like Brogdon, Russell, Hill, etc fits better next to Mitchell than a guy like Smith.

How about no. Mitchell isn't a pg

Spida is not a PG and doesn't show any hint of it with his near 1:1 assist to turnover ratio.

You both realize that Mitchell is still young right? He can grow as a passer. Besides, in Quins offense a traditional pass first point guard isn't necessary because of the ball movement and player movement. And Jingles and Beal are both solid passers as well.

Beal would vastly improve our offensive production.

R u joking. Dante has more talent and potential than all of them who you named

I kind of want to take a chance on Chandler Parsons. Big contract but only this year and next left on it. His team won't even play him and he's growing sour in that situation.

He's a good shooter and might come for a decent trade where we aren't giving up the farm like some other proposals. Medium risk/High Reward.
The jazz are going to have one good shot to add a max level player to go with Mitchell, Gobert and Jingles. They need to get it right. They shouldn’t focus on anything less than a 3rd star.

The risk that Parsons, Gallo or Millsap come in and can’t stay just isn’t worth taking the chance.

Parsons isn't a game changer at this stage of his career and there's absolutely no reason why the Jazz should take on that contract and jeopradize their cap space next offseason for a dude that hasn't managed to play 100 games since the 2014-2015 season. Plus he has only shot 35.3% from deep in his limited game time with the Grizzles.

It's high risk/low reward and to say it's anything else is wrong imo.

What else are we getting? He would become our “free agent” if we traded for him. The last meaningful season he had was more than three years ago.
