What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

I honestly think that’s part of what he meant by he’s not going to set limits on himself any more.

Today in Locke Land. He said he's working on a mock draft and he's trying very hard to trade the pick...for Kevin Love. He said he hates the timing of free agency for the Jazz and thinks there's a good chance they're left high and dry. So he's being proactive and getting Kevin Love (and that's your final team...) instead of risking being left with nothing. Lol this forum would burn if Utah actually did this.
Holy **** I would be pissed
Especially if we have to anything of value. I consider a first to be of value so **** that ****

It’s a bad idea to take one of the biggest offensive rebounding, roll-man, and lob threats there is and turn him into a jump-shooter. The guy is who you create the space FOR, and he’d have to become Brook Lopez before any serious team is committing a defender to him out there anyway.
This, obviously

Hence, my comment about unduplicating talent. Trading Shaq or Gobert for Nigel Goss-Williams doesn't improve the lineup or your winning chances.
Actually, simply sitting favors on the bench in favor of Crowder improves the jazz.

Oh yeah, Conley's definitely the better fit next to Donovan and the better player overall. I can understand the appeal of wanting a 23 year old over a 32 year old though.
Cheaper too

Let’s assume Kyrie and Durant go to Brooklyn.

D’Angelo would have to go somewhere, no?

Who is on his list?

1) Only when Gobert is also on the floor.
2) They only played Gobert/Favors together against the oppositions starters, which depressed the stats of the combination slightly.

D’Angelo AND Tobias would have to go somewhere. Id have to think we’d have very good chance at one of them. Like a 70% shot.
You mean Kyrie

Ya, that would be sweet. D-lo would be gone and we would have DM recruiting his buddy.

Already saw DM recruiting Tobias after a game last season and he would fit perfectly.

1. I assume gobert would continue to be one of our main rotational players if we traded favors so he would still be on the floor imo
2 is incorrect. Almost impossible to do even if you tried actually.

This. Rudy has no business ever standing beyond the three point line. He needs to be cleaning up the offensive boards, and setting up for lobs.

There’s like 5-10 things I’d rather have him work on than threes. Having a 15-18 footer to turn and shoot when he is making a dribble hand off if the defense sags wouldn’t be bad... I’d only want him shooting it end of shot clock. He’s not the problem on offense.

Theo Pinson seals the deal. No team can top that.

Kyrie was like “hey who are you guys? You on the team.... no really who are you?”
