Might as well have the yin for the yang.

I will start with Merryl Streep. I cannot stand her in almost anything she does. She always seems to be "acting", in that her characters go no deeper than the paper the script is written on. It is like she is the only one in on an inside joke on everyone else. Not a fan.

While we're on the subject of The Dark Knight.....

Maggie Gyllenhall - I just don't see it.

Not attractive and not a particularly good actress or memorable in any of her roles.

Johny Depp

Although I like Johnny Depp, I agree he is overrated for his acting ability. I think he has been smart in picking roles that, for the most part, allow him to use his creativity and do not rely on him carrying a character requiring real depth and feeling. He also tends to pick films that have topics that I generally like, so usually when I see Depp is in the film, I am excited to see it as I will often like the movie.

One big exception is any time he is paired with Tim Burton. Burton has turned out some serious garbage with Depp in it, including Edward Scissorhands and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Yeah, I like Depp too for the most part, I just get tired of some of his roles. Fear and Loathing is my favorite of his. His recent work is meh though.

I liked Depp in Secret Window and in From Hell. I liked him in Fear and Loathing too, althought I didn't really like the movie.

Cate Blanchett.

Can't ****ing stand her. I'm not saying she's a bad actress but I don't find her as amazing as the industry does based on her noms.

Ellen Page.

We get it, you're an edgy motor mouth that's supposed to sound really intelligent. In every role. And you can't play a character that isn't that role. Inception is the best role you've ever played and you did little more than act bewildered in it.

Wait, you thought Edward Scissorhands was bad but liked secret window???

Credibility = seriously in question.

I think Cameron Diaz is the worst.

Sean Connery
Jim Carrey
Nicolas Cage
Kurt Russell
Goldie Hawn
Meg Ryan
George Clooney
Tom Cruise
Ben Stiller

Leonardo DiCrappio

Most of the time he looks like he's prairie dogging and there's no relief in sight.

I disagree. I don't like Leo, but he's a good actor and can do multiple rules. I was sold on this after watching the Departed where he truly came off as a bad ***.

You need to go back to 8th grade reading comprehension. I said I did not like Edward Scissorhands the MOVIE, but I liked Depp in Secret Window. The movie Secret Window was fairly meh, but I liked the role he played. The funny thing about Depp is that he often gives a good performance in movies that are underwhelming (Secret Window, From Hell, Fear and Loathing, Gilbert Grape, etc.).

Steve Carell. Seriously, can the guy do anything but Michael Scott? Leaving the Office will be the biggest mistake of his life. Crazy Stupid Love was his first OK movie but it wasn't really because of him.

Even though he more or less seemed to play himself or his type-cast character, I thought Cage was fantastic in Matchstick Men.

Also, let's try to stick to actors that typically garner critical acclaim, not ones that just are prominent. Like Cameron Diaz. She is just awful, but I think that is fairly well known. But the REAL travesty is that she's scary looking. You've got to have talent or looks, and in my opinion, she never had much talent, and I don't think she's ever looked exceptionally attractive.

Well, he is a comedy actor. That is what most comedy actors do. They have a certain character, and they are asked to play that character over and over and over and over again.
