TURKEY-FRANCE : FIirst game of the 2nd round

I'm guessing they want him to coach the Olympic team, so this is actually a good place to start.

But unfortunately we arent gonna make the olympics. The final 2 teams will make it and there will be a play off betwen teams 3-6 in this tourney which probably turkey wont be in

Based on personnel, the offense should be predicated on getting the ball to the rim. That is, dump the ball into Savas/Kanter, run PnRs with Asik, or have Hedo/Preldzic/Ilyasova attack off the dribble. Turkey should use their size to their advantage, and then, when opposing teams are forced to put bigger, inferior players on the court, have Preldzic, Onan and Ilyasova waiting outside to knock down open jumpers. Defenders will continue to play Turkey tight until they show a sustained commitment to pounding the ball inside.

Right , we never attack the rim, Preldzic is a very good penetrator he shoud do it more, and also Hedo can post up when he is missmatched. Ersan is very inconsistent in this tournament normally he is a good penetrator too. I dont know, Turkey is just too much chaotic to get together and play the ball perfect

I agree, maybe slightly better than chandler in offensive end

Please. Chandler has never displayed an offensive move in his life, let alone a soft touch. He learned how to catch alley oops from the 2 of the best PG's of the last decade. I think it's safe to say Jonas is a much better offensive player in terms of moves, touch, and shot mechanics.

Chandler was scoring a lot with Chris paul's feeds. Do you think Jonas is gonna find the scoring opportunities in nba as he does right now? He finishes under the rim better than Chandler but dont forget, lithuanian guards are very good passers, in Turkey, i believe Enes hardly got a pick n roll point, he either posted up or got an offensive rebound. JV has a lot of way to prove something, dont think he will come to nba and score 15 points per game like he does in this tourney, i still dont get why do you love this guy so much, he isnt anythng near Gasol, he is just a hardworking, agile, pretty looking big man with decent talent.

a 10 point question for you,

If JV would play in turkish team instead of Kanter and getting major mins, how much he could score do you think?

Despite these "feeds" he was still never really a reliable scorer. Offensively, jv definitely has a chance to become better than Chandler. Defensively? Lol. The guy is a light-pole. He'd probably get winded from getting driven into by Spud Webb. I think we need to see him play in the NBA before we decide if hes a great defender or not. A lot of players usually change their defensive tendencies before/after making the NBA. People like Hayward usually being pleasant surprises, and then you have the players like Devin Harris who used to be reknown for their defense, now dont exhibit much of that at all. I dont know why Kanter was brought into this by you, Sepanol. Both very different players, and quite frankly I dont care who becomes better of the two (although it is very exciting to follow these draft-rivalries) all I care about is seeing my team in the Finals 4-5 Years from now, regardless of how good Kanter becomes and how much better/worse JV is. Besides, having JV by Favors seems redundant to me; Kanter and Favors seem to complement eachother nicely.

Again, he was comparing JV to Chandler, not Kanter. JV > Chandler offensively, at least based on potential and what we have seen. Its not really up for too much discussion.

no i know, but they are pretty much rivals at least in the fanbase, thats why i am asking. I think JV isnt a better scorer than Kanter. He just seems like a good complementary player and as one guy told before , dont remember whom, he can be a good complementary to superstar big man. But he cant be a go to guy like Kanter may possibly be. Other than that i dont dislike that guy, he has a good game, i hope he will be successful in nba.
