Following Potential 2020 draftees

Scrubb's declared, which is no surprise if you've heard his father. He's either gonna be in or doing 1 year at Louisville.


TBPFH I'm not even sure if he's truly the #1 JUCO x-fer, the 6'7" wing Kansas has coming in next year is gonna get drafted too, Tyon Grant-Foster. Not that thats truly relevant to Scrubbs stock just an oddity.

Several teams are gonna be in love with Saddiq Bey. He can't fall far in this draft, there's just no way... There's no way a bunch of teams that would've made the playoffs would pass on a kid like that.

Utahs gonna like him for sure.

He could've easily solidified a lotto spot had the tourney ran. Nova is a team where a lot of their guys coulda gained traction, Robinson-Earl and Cole Swider specifically
 
I dont think Utah will take BOlmaro in the first rd. Players like Elijah Hughes or Landers Nolley in the 2nd rd make more sense IMO.

If he’s smart, that Kansas kid should be wearing sunglasses all the time.

We don't have a 2RP right now, and Bolmaro warrants being taken in the 19 - 25 range, imo. He's 22 on ESPN's Top 100 big board. I can see the appeal of taking a pure point guard if that's the direction the Jazz want to go, especially if the other upside wings are gone, but I'd take Bolmaro. I think he's going to be good.

Scrubb playing against JUCO players is a bit similar to Oni playing against Ivy League players last year. That said, Scrubb is a better player than Oni and will probably get picked in the 40s, imo.

My initial thoughts on this kid was he was a great pick up for the Utes and after watching his highlights I thought possible pro. His skills didn't trap that thought, his competition did.

Maybe a sleeper. Maybe a dude who will never sniff d1 playing time.

My eye says he's a helluva pick up.

You're actually not giving the Ivy League enough credit. JUCO is much worse dude.

Though it didnt manifest in tournament results, as a whole the Ivy League the last few years was really much stronger than it usually is so far in the 2000's. Ivy league schools slowly but surely are pulling more 4star and top-100 types from the power conferences.

My neighbor growing up was the local JUCO starting PG, and I used to beat him with relative ease 1v1 and i was like 10 years younger.... I live very close to a D1 college too and used to go to those pickup runs, and I'd get run ragged by the d1 players, so i guess im biased.

I can tell you from even seeing limited footage, that kid is gonna play.. He looks like a great skillsetmatch to play with Rylan Jones if they can get him ready fast enough.

Lotta dunks on the highlights but what is apparent to me is he can guard people, for sure, long arms, athletic... Looks like he can pass it some.. appears to have a solid motor...

Whats gonna be interesting vs Pac 12 competition is; just how quick does his 1st step look? and how well does he finish thru contact? Which he looks kinda promising in both aspects.

He is slightly old for a freshman for sure. Would turn 23 during his senior year.

This draft is shaping up to be very deep.

Ofc some guys will drop, but as is, this is a very good draft to have a pick in the 20's.

Wadford is raw, but he has good body control and handling ability for a 4. Not the best shot, but it isnt beyond hope.

I have to say, though it's not necessarily our priority, Precious Achiuwa, Isaiah Stewart, and Jalen Smith are pretty quality bigs for guys available in the mid-to-late first round.

It is said that this draft is very deep. How would a potential high 2nd round pick compare to a Willie Reed, Kyle Collinsworth, Isaac Haas, Trevion Bluiett, Rodney Prior or Mike Scott?

A high 2nd-rd pick should be better than all those guys you mentioned. None of them are NBA players with the possible exception of Bluiett, who might work as a shooting specialist off the bench for some team. Maybe Rodney Prior has some potential to get called up as well at some point.

I wish we had another 1st-rd pick though. There are several guys in the middle of the 1st round who look solid.

I would not be shocked if Precious Achiuwa turned out to be the best big in this draft. I would not be surprised if Vassell or Nesmith turn out the be the best SGs. I'd also not be surprised if the best PG in this draft is picked outside the top 10--someone like RJ Hampton, Tyrese Maxey or Theo Maledon.
 
Here is a homey special not to draft but sign as an UDFA: Jhonathan Dunn from Southern Nazarene. The 6’5 guard was MVP of the Great American Conference during his senior year. 25.3 points, 6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 steals on 52% from the field and 46% from 3 on 7.5 attempts per game with a 66% True Shooting Percentage.
