So does Jake Heaps live in some sort of alternate reality?

"We gave them the game."

Yeah, I guess BYU is very generous with how much game they want to give a rival.

I don't know that BYU gave Utah the game, but they certainly put it up on a tee.

This was pretty predicitable. Mormons probably can't focus a lot of time on football because they're so into their religious stuff. LOL.

Seeing quite a bit of BYU fans on other sites talk about how Utah didn't "win" the game and how BYU "gave it away". My belly hurts from laughing so hard. Did BYU turn the ball over 7 times? Yes, but good teams tend not to turn the ball over, especially in big games. Turnovers aside, Utah's rushing game still dominated BYU in the 2nd half, Utah's rushing defense was dominant all game long and Jordan Freakin' Wynn was well on his way to a 300+ yard game before he stopped throwing the ball early in the 2nd half because the game was quickly getting out of hand.

If you're a BYU fan and you want to tell yourself that your boys "gave" the game to Utah, hey man, whatever helps you sleep at night. Just remember that turnovers weren't the reason Dres Anderson or Jake Murphy weren't covered/tackled on their long TD receptions. Turnovers weren't the reason your team couldn't run the ball against Utah's front 7. Turnovers weren't the reason John White was making your entire defense look like Weber State's 3rd stringers.

All of those things happened because Utah is a better football team. Did the turnovers make a difference? Certainly. They took a game that was probably a 30-to-10 *** kicking and turned it into a 54-to-10 *** kicking. Either way, your asses were completely kicked.

There's no doubt that Utah opened a 6 pack of whoop *** in that second half. They float out beat them. That second half was an *** kicking of epic proportions. Out played. Out coached. Out physicaled. Out everythinged. I don't know how anyone can argue that.

Me too. I thought Utah's QB sucked? Looked to me like he was not sucking on Saturday night.
Jordan Wynn was good until late last season. Supposedly that is when he got hurt.

I thought he would be good this season because he was supposedly healthy again. But he sucked the first 2 games.

I thought he sucked at times last night too. In the end he won big and had decent numbers. But he had many throws that took way too long to get there (about got Christopher killed a few times), had many throws that should have been intercepted due to bad decisions, and many inaccurate throws (it blows my mind how he can throw a 4 yard pass and totally miss the receiver).

Having said that, he appeared to somewhat get it together after his injury last night. He seemed to get better and better after that. Maybe that was the turning point for him. I sure hope it was.

He was pretty awesome that second half. I hope he continues to play well and improve. As down as everyone was on him at the start of this season, we were all that high on him at the start of last season.

Utah caused a bunch of those turnovers, I thought BYU had some amazing offensive line?

They returned a lot of starters.

Problem is, none of their starters are very good. Matt Reynolds is too fat and slow. Overhyped IMO. He was getting owned by Kruger.

I think another issue for the Cougs to consider, is the training routine they have their guys on. Their O-line is too fat and slow to block a chair. On passes, they struggle to stop speed rushers. On runs, they're too slow to get to the next level.

In today's game, big slow O-lines get beat.

What's interesting to me is how other positions get too big too. McCay Jacobson is a perfect example. The dude looks more like a fullback than a receiver right now. Too slow to get open now...

Whoa man! No need to go racial. Besides, some of them white boys can play. Look at the Patriots.

Right. Some of them. The problem is not just that BYU's white to everyone else ratio is about 5:1, it's that most of their crackers come from Utah County and are usually Mormon. That is a tiny, tiny pool to draw from and to be pretending to be an elite D-I team.

Do you try to be that ignorant or are you just that dumb? Most of their "crackers" are from Utah County?

Definitely didn't expect that and to think I was getting all worked up early in the game on that helmet to helmet on Christopher in the endzone that lead to the missed FG. It's not like the U played a clean game early on they had the INT, fumble, missed FG and a turnover on downs so early on both teams had chances to capitalize on each others miscues.
Like many have already said or heard I think that hit on Wynn kinda woke him up and then that TD to end the first half gave the team the boost they needed to close it out.
