What's new

2020 Vintage 80’s 90’s draft winner changes my picture.

PG - Gary Payton
SG - Sidney Moncrief
SF - Scottie Pippen
PF - Dennis Rodman
C - David Robinson

Here is my starting lineup. There are a lot of great teams in this!

Good luck trying to score against me!
Great pick. I considered him when I too k Mitch. I felt I needed a shooter though with Clyde as my other wing. Both were very similar in that they are way underrated as they toiled on bad teams.

Alonzo Mourning

He would be the emotional leader on this team. Few played with more guts and intensity than Zo, the minister of defense. He will play that Derrick Favors type role. Start at Pf and backup C. He would help make a dominating twin towers duo with Kareem.

90’s combined averages.
21pts 10reb. 3 blks. 52%FG.

I loved Alonzo.
Man I miss the 80's and 90's of basketball.

Did not expect that... he was a dude I was looking at.

Alright I guess I'm up... everyone needs to be ashamed of themselves... yall were out here picking rookie vince carter and paul pierce with prime George Gervin out here....

Before KD there was Iceberg Slim.... Let me take you through his scoring averages from his age 28-32 seasons (the relevant period here).

27
32 - led the league
26

21
All 5 seasons he was an all-star. Now go back to your rooms and think about what you have done.
So I'm starting:
Magic
Dr.J
The Iceman
C-Webb
Moses Malone

with Penny coming off the bench (probably reached a bit but I loved me some Penny so get the hell off me).

Got my first 5, not necessarily starting 5 but we'll see.
  1. Kevin Johnson (Should have been Isaiah Thomas, but I am a busy man)
  2. Joe Dumars
  3. Dominique Wilkins
  4. Kevin Garnett
  5. Patrick Ewing
Interior D is a 10/10, plus an elite wing defender, but shooting and backcourt size is obviously going to be an issue. Although this was the 80's and 90's there were like 6 people that could shoot at all. I've got a plan to shore those up though. Really wanted Isaiah or Timmy Hardaway but I screwed the pooch. KJ is nice though.

Shouldn’t you start Ice man at sg and Dr. J at sf?

great pick though

It does not matter... they wingzz and all three perimeter guys have wing size so we just gonna find your tiny guys and exploit the hell out of them.
