What's new

2020 Vintage 80’s 90’s draft winner changes my picture.

How do 2 guys who were top 5 all time at their positions, who played together for 20 years, not win a championship? Because of the lack of athleticism and size.
Because the rest of the team was mostly mediocre to average, bad depth outside of Horny/Russell.

They ran into the GOAT and honestly they’d have won in 98 if they make shots, or if Dick Bavetta doesn’t deep dick them in game 6. Scottie was done after that game... we should have had them.

In 1998 Horny probably should have been pulled out the game. He was terrible in game 6. They were the best team that didn’t win a title imo... it happens. That Bulls team with Jordan, Pippen, Kukoc, and Rodman was friggin stacked. Kukoc was super duper underrated. Ron Harper, Kerr and Longley were great role players too.

Everyone buried Krause but holy ****... that guy put together a team.

I will take Chris Webber... get his bullets and warriors days and the first part of his run with Sacramento. Big athletic dude that can pass and run with my run and fun team. Will play small ball 5 if I need to or play alongside my bigs.
I love Webber. Fits on any team with any group of players. So versatile and skilled

How is that any different from Cy’s team. Bird is arguably a top 5 player all time, who’s stats are comparable to LBJ. Barkley may have been short but was a freak athlete who played bigger than he was. Thomas is very similar to Kyrie other than long range shooting who’s handles rivaled Kyrie. Mullin was an elite scorer and shooter. Whatever lack of size and Athleticism was made up by pure skill and IQ and competitive fire.

Yeah he could, at least by that era's standards.
That is the one thing that has stuck out to me... there are guys shooting like 40%+ from 3 shooting it like 2-3 times a game.... coaches apparently weren’t great at math back then.

Jason Kidd
Great pick. Very underrated. And he is even more valuable on teams like these cause he doesnt need to score with all the talent these teams have. Just run the team and set the table (something he is great at) and defend (another thing he is great at)

Loved watching that guy in college and the pros... million dollar smile on that dude too... I see why he was pulling super models.

Yes he was handsome. Kinda reminds me of the not scary version of Treach from naughty by nature. Treach was one scary *** handsome mofo.

like my team. Nice combo of shooting and inside play. This would be a very efficient and effective offense. Hoping for a miracle my pf lasts tomy next pick but not going to hold my breath. If anyone wants to trade down hit me up.
