The error comes from calling black crime "inproportionate". Once you account for poverty and the effects of differential policing, black crime is proportionate to white crime.

And now that the protests have damaged many inner city businesses, that poverty will only be going up, and with it, black crime, regardless of president.

The speaker was talking about how his feeling were going to reinforce his determination to resist when on the front lines of the protest. You didn't pick that up?

I agree people should treat each other with respect only up to a point though. Once someone loses my respect I don't need to treat them with respect. We don't need to hold everyone to the same standards. Someone in a position of power has different standards to live up to then someone who is not for example. I can give you lots of examples when standards are and should be different.

If you want equality then start by treating people equally.

If you don't want racism then start by not bringing race into the conversation. The minute you point out skin color, regardless of the color, you crossed a line.

Don't justify crossing it because of skin color or history. Just don't cross it.

They don't help much, but it at least keeps some from turning to drugs, car jackings, gangs, etc. If Trump can eventually get some more manufacturing over here, it would give them a better job, and with that comes self worth. This is going to take many years to accomplish of course, beyond even a second term from Trump.
