The *official* Election Day Game Thread!

Looks like the federal Texas judge declined to throw out all 127k ballots just like the Texas SC.

Funny that the GOP didn't have an issue with drive-thru voting in GOP counties.

The GOP has no shame. Trying to deny people access to voting is horrifying.

I really have to wonder how supporters of Trump and hard core Republicans feel about the very blatant attempts to suppress votes that are happening.

I know in years past it was dressed up like it was intended to prevent voter fraud, but I can't imagine too many people can believe that having a single drop box in Harris County, Texas is anything other than an attempt to make voting harder. Then with the attempt to throw out over 100k votes in Harris county because they were drive-up votes, while not challenging the same practice in Republican dominated counties.

Not to mention places like Georgia where you see people in mostly black areas waiting 6+ hours to vote when I know damn well there are basically no affluent white areas where the same thing is happening.

How must it feel to be part of that?

Exactly. The "not my president" slogan is laughable to me. Also rooting against the president to succeed because you didn't vote for him/her is also hilarious.
And yet you just cast your second ballot for a clown who hasn’t hidden his reluctance to be a leader for “blue” states or cities. He’s definitely been a “not my problem” president if there ever was one.

It’s shocking to me how many people are STILL taking cover behind the slogan of “I’m not a big fan of Trump, but I do support his policies.” I mean, what kind of selective memory and selective attention do you have to have in order to say that and mean it? Because if someone tucks in under the umbrella of economic policy (and lol at that even on its own merits) at the exclusion of everything else, just look at the body count of other **** that they’re deciding is acceptable collateral damage.

“I considered voting for Biden, but I just couldn’t get there.” Emmk.

For sure there is a percentage of Trump supporters who perceive Biden, Democrats, their supporters, as the enemy of America. It’s easier to overlook any decisions that seem “inherently” anti-American, like surrounding an opponents campaign bus on the highway, or suppressing their votes, when they are perceived as the enemy. Within that part of Trump world, it’s a soft civil war at this stage. What comports with what we expect of Americans, of all political persuasions, is missing at that stage. Just do it, cheating is fine when you need to defeat the enemy. I confess it is difficult for myself not to see Trump supporters as the enemy at this point. Because, when Biden calls the election a battle for the soul of a nation, well, yeah, it is that type of war both sides are waging, after all. Seems that way. Who are we and who do we want to be as a nation? The 2020 election is likely just a chapter in this battle. No holds barred I guess.

Has there been a louder, more obnoxious, and more ceaseless example of a “not my president” style of behavior than when Donal Trump wouldn’t stop demanding to see Obama’s birth certificate?

And yet you then voted for him twice.

Not looking forward to this at all... I'm ready for a purge like situation over the next couple weeks as votes are counted.

One thing I have discovered over the last few weeks is there are a lot of "hold your nose" trump voters out there. I was raised by Republicans... probably share more in common with traditional Republican values (at least I thought), am surrounded by Republicans... and voted Biden. People I've told act like gave up my religion and started a devil worshipping cult. Its funny.

I know the results will not be official Tuesday night, but I think it might be very clear who will win. I hope it is, anyway. Either way I hope there isn't a need for court challenges or any other extra curricular activities.

I think the only way we steer somewhat clear of a drawn out legal mess is if Biden wins Florida by around 5 points. Even then, we all know Trump is going to drag this into the mud. And, fwiw, I don’t think Biden will win Florida by that much—if at all. Flipping Georgia and North Carolina would be another clear signal, but probably not enough of one.

****ing dream beyond dreams is if Biden wins NC and Florida and we can start to ****ing relax a little bit.

This is the hope... but if 2020 has taught me anything its that this will suck. Extra curriculars, challenges, messy transition or a complete freak out if he is re-elected. I'm nervous.

It's interesting - I was watching Sean Hannity on Fox News tonight and he's acting like the election is in the bag for Trump despite the Fox News Poll having Trump down 8 points as of today. They keep trotting out that ding dong with the bowtie who apparently is the only pollster who is predicting Trump will win easily.

It seems readily obvious some folks at Fox News are creating an alternate reality whereby if Trump loses the only conceivable reason is the election was rigged.

It’s actually quite possible we know how things go tomorrow. Florida counts fast and once they know how rurals split, they’ll have a good sense of the way the winds are blowing.

It's especially weird considering trump doesn't even think he will win. He has already said many times that he and his lawyers are immediately taking everything to court. That's only something you would do if you lost

That pollster is Trafalgar who is basically in the tank for Trump. Can’t listen to that type of bias just like any internal poll when they basically insure their own poll results to account for a silent Trump effect.

They were vilified a week ago when they posted a poll where the crosstabs didn’t make any sense and instead of confronting it, they simply removed it. Sketchy as hell.

Just read that Biden won Dixville Notch in New Hampshire 5-0 as part of their tradition.

Time to stop counting the votes since it’s obvious that Biden will win 100% of the popular vote.
