Following Potential 2020 draftees

I heard Vecenie saying that he and some nba people are skeptical of the combine measurements this year. Not that Harris didn’t measure up but just in general they had some skepticism.

Guys have had longer to train, can set-up their own time (within a certain window) when to go the gym for testing, probably can better warm up/stretch for testing because it isnt a part of a whole day operation like the combine was. It's fair to say the measurements dont mean much since they cant be accurately compared to past measurements where guys have had a shorter time to train for the combine.

I'm not sure really sure what is so hard about standardizing these test. Verts are easy to measure. Wingspan are easier to measure. Sprint/Lane Agility/Shuttle seems pretty easy to measure.

Okay, but you can sign Glenn Robinson III to come off the bench at around the league minimum. I like Tyler Bey, but right now to me he projects as a back-up a la Larry Nance Jr., unless he can get his shooting up to at least 36%. That was more or less the magic number that got Royce O'Neale time on the floor. Bey is the type of versatile defender the Jazz should be looking for, and I would think the Jazz take Bey if they trade back to #26 or #27.

Personally, I might go for Paul Reed ahead of Tyler Bey. I like the extra size, and I like Reed's ability to play downhill.

Can the Jazz draft both? Those two would add length - and whoever breaks out would be a plus for team. And add a shooter to the mix?

I hope we try like hell to get another pick in the 30s. This draft has a lot of value from 20-45ish range imo. Locke kinda did some work on his pod and there are a lot of shooters, guys with appropriate positional size, and 3 and D wing types in that range.

Locke also mispronounced Saddiq Bey's name 150 times. Kept calling him Saddiq-ey. Other than that it was a solid breakdown.

I don't see how Saddiq Bey gets past both Portland and Dallas, tbh.

Reed could slip to the 2nd round maybe, but I don't see the Jazz drafting both of these guys. I see the Jazz comparing them and choosing one.

Marion was great in Phoenix when he had Steve Nash setting the table for him. He was less so in Miami.
Tyler might have Dallas Shawn Marion potential.

The Jazz have wanted a stretch-shooting 5 for a few years, I think. There are guys in this year's draft who could fit that description--Zeke Nnaji, Daniel Oturu and Reggie Perry. I'm not sure if Killian Tille can really play the 5 or not. Those would be 2nd round prospects for the most part.

Simply not true. Marion was great before Nash got to Phoenix. He faltered due to age, like every other player eventually does.

Rumor is that the Celtics want to trade up for Onyeka Okongwu... Which makes tons of sense after what Bam did to them in the ECF...
