what i despise about silva is that he dances arround does not take care of business.
That's possibly the stupidest comment made about MMA on the internet ever.

howis it stupid. what i mean is he has the oppurtunity to finish his opponent but instead dances around like a gril. not jsut a few minutes but a couple of rounds of dancing. thats not handling /taking care of bussines. that is just fooling around. but yeah since dana told him not to do it he has done a lot less of it
So not putting yourself in a bad position because you want the big knockout / finish the opponent when you know you have a win and will retain the belt / possibly best fighter in the world is a bad thing? Again, he does exactally what GSP does except GSP does it on the ground with his great ground game.
It's called being SMART and not putting yourself in a bad position thus the reason he is one of the best fighters in the world and why you are writing about him. Too many fighters, ala Lesnar, have gone for the finish and been submitted or got rocked.
Anderson Silva MMA Record - 29 Wins - 4 Losses
WINS
18 TKO (58.06%)
6 Submission (19.35%)
7 Decision (22.58%)
LOSSES
2 Submission
1 Decision
1 Other
So over 75% of his wins he 'ended' vs. 22.58% of his wins ended in decision.
Chael Sonnen MMA Record - 26-11-1
WINS
7 TKO
4 Submissions
15 Decisions (57.69% of his wins)
LOSSES
2 TKO
8 Submissions
1 Decision
Do you still want to argue???? You look like a fool right now Dutch. ACTUALLY Sonnen has 'danced' around and went to decision much more than Silva so your points have no value.
go ahead and talk stats. STATS dont tell the whole story but okay. i just meant silva could finish people faster/stop dancing around. but hey just toys and plays wiht his oppinent instead of going in there finish the opponent and get the f out.
but okay stat say he finishes opponents more often whatever you like.
but imho dancing 4 and a half rounds while you could finish the guy in a half round is not taking care of bussiness no matter what the stats say
Silva's camp, meanwhile, is not necessarily ready to sign off on the rematch. Manager Ed Soares said the champ's recovery from a nagging case of bursitis in his shoulder – and not Sonnen's call-out – will determine the date of a possible rematch.
Remember earlier when I said that Silva and his manager Soares were two of the biggest dongs on the planet, and together they'd find a way to get out of this fight?
Right. Bursitis in his shoulder. Right.

At the post-fight press conference for Saturday’s UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi, UFC President Dana White unsurprisingly said he was “embarrassed” by the actions of middleweight champ Anderson Silva in a successful-but-criticized title defense over Demian Maia.
“I don’t think I’ve been more embarrassed in the 10 years of being in this business,” said White. “It’s the first I’ve ever walked out on a main event, given the belt to the guy’s manager and told him to put it on him.”
Despite overwhelming criticism from fans for his disrespectful antics and lack of aggression, Silva defended his performance, saying he did his job by beating a ‘disrespectful’ Maia.
The context of the GSP/Silva comparison is laughable.
Silva is a counter-attacker. That is one reason he waits and waits. And that's fine. But there's no question he also dicks around when he doesn't have to. Really no issues with Silva except the Sonnen fight. He was clearly in trouble and I don't know that anyone can intelligently defend his tactics as any sort of strategy. He got lucky. Maybe he learns from it and gets better but if he doesn't change he is in trouble.
Hendo is also waiting in the wings. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sonnen have to take another fight while Silva heals up. Same with Hendo.
Also cool to see Jones already back in the ring on Dec 10 (Machida). Love when champs take on challengers as soon as possible.
evans keeps boozering his title shots up with his injuries.
