What's new

Chael Sonnen is gonna make silva his little female dog

That's possible the stupidest comment made about MMA on the internet ever.

howis it stupid. what i mean is he has the oppurtunity to finish his opponent but instead dances around like a gril. not jsut a few minutes but a couple of rounds of dancing. thats not handling /taking care of bussines. that is just fooling around. but yeah since dana told him not to do it he has done a lot less of it

So not putting yourself in a bad position because you want the big knockout / finish the opponent when you know you have a win and will retain the belt / possibly best fighter in the world is a bad thing? Again, he does exactally what GSP does except GSP does it on the ground with his great ground game.

It's called being SMART and not putting yourself in a bad position thus the reason he is one of the best fighters in the world and why you are writing about him. Too many fighters, ala Lesnar, have gone for the finish and been submitted or got rocked.

4 and a half rounds of dancing does not belong in a fight. just my personal opinion you either fight or you leave the octacgon/fight. thats just my opinion. i mean if you enjoy seeing anderson dance for 4 and a half rounds while he CLEARLY cna finish the opposition because you consider playing it save not to land in a bad position. then we should pettion anderson to go on dancing on the stars. leabve the ufc .

cus i want to see fights. not dancing and fooling around.

a fight is a dangerous thing every second you are in the ring you are in a bad position. so if he's so afraid of bad position maybe he should just quit.

there is a reason nobody wanted to fight sonnen until stann took the match

Anderson Silva MMA Record - 29 Wins - 4 Losses
WINS
18 TKO (58.06%)
6 Submission (19.35%)
7 Decision (22.58%)

LOSSES
2 Submission
1 Decision
1 Other

So over 75% of his wins he 'ended' vs. 22.58% of his wins ended in decision.

Chael Sonnen MMA Record - 26-11-1

WINS
7 TKO
4 Submissions
15 Decisions (57.69% of his wins)

LOSSES
2 TKO
8 Submissions
1 Decision

Do you still want to argue???? You look like a fool right now Dutch. ACTUALLY Sonnen has 'danced' around and went to decision much more than Silva so your points have no value.

I don't watch this nonsense but was curious if any of you have seen the movie Warrior with Tom Hardy. It's really freakin' good. Hardy is a stud in it. As always.

go ahead and talk stats. STATS dont tell the whole story but okay. i just meant silva could finish people faster/stop dancing around. but hey just toys and plays wiht his oppinent instead of going in there finish the opponent and get the f out.

but okay stat say he finishes opponents more often whatever you like.

but imho dancing 4 and a half rounds while you could finish the guy in a half round is not taking care of bussiness no matter what the stats say

24 of his 31 fights he HAS finished.. he has had ONLY 7 Decisions. Where are you pulling the dancing out? Just admit your pwnd and end of thread. The start was about as epic fail as your last few responses.

I was excited to finally get some good MMA talk going... and then I remembered what a moron Dutch is. He brings shame to the name, "Dave".

Remember earlier when I said that Silva and his manager Soares were two of the biggest dongs on the planet, and together they'd find a way to get out of this fight?

Silva's camp, meanwhile, is not necessarily ready to sign off on the rematch. Manager Ed Soares said the champ's recovery from a nagging case of bursitis in his shoulder – and not Sonnen's call-out – will determine the date of a possible rematch.

Right. Bursitis in his shoulder. Right.

At the post-fight press conference for Saturday’s UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi, UFC President Dana White unsurprisingly said he was “embarrassed” by the actions of middleweight champ Anderson Silva in a successful-but-criticized title defense over Demian Maia.

“I don’t think I’ve been more embarrassed in the 10 years of being in this business,” said White. “It’s the first I’ve ever walked out on a main event, given the belt to the guy’s manager and told him to put it on him.”

Despite overwhelming criticism from fans for his disrespectful antics and lack of aggression, Silva defended his performance, saying he did his job by beating a ‘disrespectful’ Maia.

he always does his "dancing" fooling around. not alwyas for whole fights but always sometimes half a round. sometimes 1-2 rounds. but at that fight it was 4 and a half frickin rounds. this aint no stat

also a fight i look foward to is the "lesnar vs allistar overeem" fight.

The context of the GSP/Silva comparison is laughable.

Silva is a counter-attacker (like Machida and one other reason why that fight won't happen besides that they love each other they would just sit and stare at each other whole fight). That is one reason Silva waits and waits. And that's fine when your hand is getting raised at the end. But there's no question he also dicks around when he doesn't have to. Really no issues with Silva except the Sonnen fight. He was clearly in trouble and I don't know that anyone can intelligently defend his tactics in that fight as any sort of strategy. Sonnen dictacted that whole fight and Silva got lucky. Maybe he learns from it and gets better but if he doesn't change he is in trouble against similar opponents.

Hendo is also waiting in the wings. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sonnen have to take another fight while Silva heals up. Same with Hendo.

Also cool to see Jones already back in the ring on Dec 10 (Machida). Love when champs take on challengers as soon as possible.
