Mitchell injury

No, because Donovan had a serious ankle injury which have proven to lead to worse problems if someone tries to push it too early.
Playing too many minutes can also lead to worse problems of you are pushing it too much

As I've said, it is pretty clear his team was pressuring them to play him. The Jazz medical staff clearly weren't comfortable with it and I think were put in a difficult situation. Stopping him from playing hours before is not a decision made for no reason. In the words of Oscar from The Office

"Look, it doesn't take a genius to know that every organization thrives when it has two leaders. Go ahead, name a country that doesn't have two presidents. A boat that sets sail without two captains. Where would Catholicism be without the popes?"
It doesn't take a genius to see that you hadn't made a post in forever but suddenly show up when there is some controversy involving Donovan and you take the view of Donovan being a whiny diva and being in the wrong and everyone else being in the right.

Not a coincidence. Haters gonna hate

Because he is.....wheres the drama with the other players? Non-existent? Maybe the one dude IS a diva.

Where are the other players getting cleared to play, not listed on the injury report, ready to go and then not being allowed to play?

I would hope all the other players on the team are competitive and would want to play.

I guess you prefer guys who are like "oh you just changed your mind 5 minutes before the game and now I can't play? Cool, I wanted to stay home and play video games anyway"

To each their own.

No. Mike trusted the medical staff with his chronic hamstring issue, sat when they felt he needed to sit, and came back when they cleared him. He didn't pressure them to clear him, switch medical staffs, take shots at the Jazz medical staff in his first interview in the process of coming back, and then send out cryptic tweets and cry to ESPN yet again over some little issue. Donovan's little shot last Thursday where he said "things started getting better and progress was being made about 2 weeks ago"(roughly the time being reported he switched away from the Jazz medical staff to his own). That is a subtle public shot at doctors every other players trust, but we have the little diva who knows better and needs to be outside the group with his ********. Clearly there was a concerted effort to pressure him being cleared by his side and it's very clear he is not listening to the Jazz medical staff, only his.

Rudy has had some drama moments too... it comes with the territory... other players aren't good enough to get away with being dramatic. Not every guy is as low maintenance as Joe or Favs.

Rudy has had some drama, Rudy doesn't make it a giant national story every time he gets his feelings hurt. Donovan uses the media and social media as outlets to air his ********. His first interview in returning he basically indirectly says things got better once he used his own staff and he doesn't trust the Jazz medical staff and isn't listening to their concerns. Not all drama is the same. Drama can be kept within an organization, Donovan likes to make it a whole big spectacle.

Not true. They wanted conley to stay out for the rest of the regular season but he pressured them to let him play and they did.

Most of this is nonsense. Rudy is pretty chummy with Tim Mcmahon at ESPN and I know they likely communicated about yesterday's events. It was pretty clear from Tim's comments on his podcast. He's talked with him before about DPOY and other things... If you want to call it diva behavior then go ahead. The divas are divas for a reason... you can't win without a diva or two.

Rudy literally cried when he didn't get recognition lol

All I can say is that Karl or John would never have allowed this, and they were among the most durable players ever. We also have to trust Donovan. It's his body and he should have a say in this.

I swear half the doctors I see let me diagnose myself... There are obviously more concrete measures but I'd think part of this is on the patient.

Guys guys guys, I've seen this mentioned a few times now by a few different posters. No, the medical staff is not airing on the side of caution. Get that thought out of your head. It's asinine.

They are erring on the side of caution.

No. This, is not true lol. He did say they were being extremely cautious. He didn’t say his injury started healing better when he switched to his private medical staff.

Hmm, an interesting thought here for sure. Donovan made the comment of “kudos to whoever found that out, they did really good finding that out” in regards to him having his own medical staff.
