You're right, he took the first two steps just before he caught the ball.
They put out a video on this last season. Often the player catches the ball in motion and the rule allows him to place both feet in place, then establish a pivot or dribble or whatever. If he stays in motion he can place both feet down, then take 2 steps. That's what gobert did on that play. He caught the ball in motion, placed both feet then took 2 steps, but because of the timing of the sequence it looks like he took a lot of steps. But once he had the ball it was just 2.

Whiteside is looking too slow in high pick and rolls and Ingles is not just looking like an uncle, plays like it.

I'd love to see us stop with the lazy passes and crappy turnovers. If we could just fix that one piece we'd have double-digit leads most games.

Euro fouls in the penalty are my favorite.

The Heat know what they are doing. These guard to guard actions are very difficult for us to guard, that's what killed us in the LAC series. Don and Bogey have kept us in the game but we need to defend better.

4 seconds on the clock and that’s the best we can do?

The shooting difference was huge in the first half. MIA hit so many jumpers in the mid range. Hopefully that will flip in the second.

Heat shot chart. Forcing a lot of mid range/floaters but they are making everything.
