Trade deadline discussion

I look at a team like the Kings that aren't going anywhere (again) and wonder if they'll pull the plug and clean house at the deadline. They'll have a heck of a time trying to offload contacts like Fox, but could see them potentially move someone like Barnes or Hield. Guys like Bagley seem like no brainers if they can make salaries match.

Boston gets Clarkson

Pelicans get Langford, Hernangomez, Boston's 2022 1st, and a future top 10 protected 1st from Utah

Utah gets Herbert Jones and Satoransky (expiring)

Boston desperately needs offense that's willing to come off the bench.

Pelicans get two first rounders, gets the Hernangomez brothers together and promising Langford.

We get the premier perimeter defender we have sorely lacked. We also save $10 million in salaries for next year.

Jazz cannot trade Clarkson till after Jan 19
That is Filipino night at Vivant
Instead of celebration there will be riots :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I legit think this would be a topic of discussion if there was a JC trade on the table.

Honestly don't think one trade is going to be enough to fix our defensive issues and make us true contenders. Multiple moves are likely needed.

gotta move one of our starters at least. we just cannot close games with the lineup we currently have, even when Rudy is back. we can't get stops when needed. adding a 8th or 9th man ain't gonna fix it.

It’s been long overdue. As bad as we’ve been lately, we we’re even worse in the playoffs the past two seasons. This should surprise no one. We should have been more aggressive during the summer where there were more options.

I had major Clips series flashbacks tonight… those dudes were soooooo open.

Problem is I think we have such limited trade assets and the changes we need are pretty drastic so I think any move we make is more likely to mess us up. It’s personnel… it’s system… it’s likely to need a new coaching voice… maybe not head coach but a high level assistant.

We got problems.

The flip side is that if the faith is low enough in the team as currently constituted with regard to playoff basketball, one could argue there’s not much to lose by making some serious moves mid-season.

Hurt all the time
Took LeBron for him to win anything
Rudy and AD relying that much on Conley to run the entire offense? Would be awful.

That rim protection would look sexy though. Maybe you look at this if you move Clarkson and additional pieces for someone to put beside Conley.

One thing I have against Davis is he doesn't always use his size to his advantage. He shoots a lot of jumpers.

I'd rather have Zion, but he's injury prone too.

What do you think about Ingram?
