This would've been nice in 1990.Jazz have to keep three legit centers
If one is hurt you still have a starter and backup
We could've drafted McDaniels or Bane. We whiffed big time.I liked the pick when we made it and that has never changed. The tools that Dok has are intriguing and definitely worth the risk where he was picked up. He is still raw but It is not uncommon for bigs to be slow developing. The center position is more important in the Jazz scheme than most if not any other NBA team and it is not easy to find good back ups. I think we have proved that. I am still not convinced that Dok will make it but in my view it was worth the gamble for a draft pick and it wont surprise me if Dok becomes a solid NBA starter. Happy to be in the minority on this one.
I find it crazy that an NBA center can get this far and not understand the fundamental of boxing out your opponent for a rebound.Dok still needs some help on fundamentals like setting screens and blocking out. However, if he competes like he did last night, he will see more minutes.
I think that he's a little bit too nice, just needs a little more of this:I find it crazy that an NBA center can get this far and not understand the fundamental of boxing out your opponent for a rebound.
Boxing out is the biggest NBA fundamentals failure.I find it crazy that an NBA center can get this far and not understand the fundamental of boxing out your opponent for a rebound.
Bane absolutely, but I don't get all the love for McDaniels. We could've drafted McDaniels or Bane. We whiffed big time.
When Rudy comes back dok is gone from the rotation. Book itHe made him a starter over Whiteside so I'm not so sure
