Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Is that due to his talent level or due to the fact that Trae has to be involved with everything?

Collins has been unsettled for a while. Maybe it's because he's like you said. Or maybe it's because he wants to play in a more even system.
Well, I don't think he has shown that he is suitable for more offensive load but you can't be exactly sure and he is still young. There is room for improvement.

Still, there should have been some change after Lloyd Pierce was fired. Collins wanting a bigger role was one of the reasons for it too.

Trae and Mitchell has similar usage rates already. Moving away from Conley will only exacerbate it.

Trae spends 6.30 second per touch. Mitchell is at 5.30 but it's not hard to imagine that will go up if Mitchell moves to the PG.

If we do trade Rudy to the Hawks I think that we will end up as a worse version of the Hawks and Atlanta could become a better version of the Jazz depending on what players they manage to put between Trae and Rudy. I will be looking forward to seeing Trae and Rudy pnr.

It depends on what your goals are as an organization and how much you believe in Collins. I want to rebuild aggressively so the Capella/JC/#16 doesn't appeal to me very much at all AND that might already be more than they're willing to send. I also think it is a significant red flag that rumors have been out on Collins for years despite his raw production.

I also think Ayo and Williams are the exact types of players that need to be around Donovan from a basketball perspective.
I wanted Ayo and Herb Jones at #30...

I haven't been following these threads much so i dont know what has been discussed but I feel pretty good about this hawks trade with capela, collins and a first. im down with that. Will really miss gobert though and am nervous that he makes the hawks a lot better and i have some regrets.

I agree and if we got Huerter on top it’s gravy.

The worst mistake we could make is trading Rudy away for a mediocre package like Collins/Huerter. Cause we likely miss the playoffs then Don asks out and we're stuck with a bunch of meh players on big deals.

$62M invested into Huerter, Collins, and Cappella for the foreseeable future. Yikes.

I'd rather send Rudy to Sacramento for Holmes, Barnes, and #4

You act like that is a lot of money for three guys lmao. Rudy will be getting paid 44M and 47M by himself.

Sure, I would like that deal too but I doubt it’s available.

If we’re wanting to compete now, which by all accounts is what Ryan Smith wants to do, the absolute worst thing we can do is trade Rudy. It would compromise our competitiveness now and in the future. We can compete now and in the future if we trade Donovan. We can compete now if we kept RG and DM.

Win now options: keep RG & DM; keep RG and trade DM.

Win now and lose later: keep both.

Lose now and win later: trade both.

Lose now and lose later: trade RG and keep DM.

It’s any easy matrix to navigate and an easy matrix to not **** up. But I get the feeling we’re poised to **** it up.

You act like any of those guys are worth the deals that they got. Collins at 16/8 with bad defense and injury concerns isn't worth $25M a year. Capela isn't worth the deal that he got and is one of the main reasons they're terrible defensively. Huerter is a 12 ppg guy/below average defender without much upside.

No reason to just trade Rudy just to do it...

I think he has become a better defender... I'm not particularly hopeful he becomes more than what he is... I just know some guys do better when they touch the ball more... even if they aren't creating per se.

IDK on him.
I think he improved defensively too but he is more of a secondary rim protector. I think he can even play center for around 10-15 minutes but PnR defense and size is going to be an issue. You could probably stick him as the low man in a switching scheme but Jazz would need 3-4 more ok to good perimeter defenders.

I don't think he lacks touches. He doesn't spend much time on-ball, though.

Tell me you have never watched the Hawks without telling me.

Lulz. I'm sure the reason the Hawks are in desperation mode and offering those guys is because they're all great players.

The Hawks barely made the playoffs with that group and Trae who's significantly better than Don.

We're winning with them in the West?

They literally made the ECF last year lmao.

Trae is also not significantly better than Donovan.

I’m not sure who’s alt you are but you’re a ****ing clown.
