Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I think it means Utah is about to deal him and they dont want to appear like liars about not wanting to trade him.
I'd really like to know which side is the one that gave up the info to Woj though. If its us then we gonna trade him... its essentially telling everyone "go ahead and give us a call cuz he on the market". If its from the NY or Don side its "i want out and these mfers be lying saying they building around me".

Woj would have more loyalty to CAA obvi but who knows... maybe he just board as hell.

I think it's obviously from Utah.

Barrett + Rose saves us 4.9M plus we take back all their picks. 23/25/27/29 1sts with 24/26/28 pick swaps. They also have protected Mavericks, Pistons and Wizards 1sts. I wonder what the total could come out to. 6 1sts and 3 pick swaps?

What does it mean though... Don wants out so he says they listening? New York called and JZ didn't send em to voice mail?

Either it's true and UTA is taking calls on their own volition, or Don is pushing the Jazz to make a trade. Either way it means the same, thing Don is probably getting traded. If I was to speculate, the Jazz and Don have mutually agreed to a departure, but Don would rather not have it come out that he wanted to leave. Probably better for the Jazz to have it that way too.

All that has to be said, is that the team is rebuilding and got a great offer.

I saw this coming. It's cute to try and have that image that they weren't desperate for Don....but the reality of losing him is real of course they are going to come to the table. No team is going to want Don more than the Knicks. The only way the Knicks are letting him go is if there is an offer they can't beat, but compared to the other teams they have the most trade ammo.

And that is essentially what Woj's follow up tweet is saying. The Jazz weren't interested in trading Don, then Gobert got traded....yeah yeah yeah. It's all the same at the end of the day. The Jazz knew they were trading both Rudy and Don when they traded Royce and probably long before that.

Lots of fans loved Rudy and likewise Don. This season is going to be depressing without them playing.

That was my initial thought as well.

I really hope they don’t trade him to the heat, just because the entitled Miami fans who have acted like that was destiny will be vindicated. Also I think their package sucks. Their picks are worthless. We can do much better than that, or I’d rather keep him for another season just for sentimental reasons.

I think there's something alluring to tanking. There's no expectations that can create disappointment like last year. But at some point, we're going to realize just how good those two players were. It's still somewhat bizarre to me that a franchise like UTA traded two star players locked into long term deals in their prime, but hey....late first round picks!
