Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Maybe Suns are trying to beat Ainge to a transaction and need Ayton under contract and agreeing to it

That's not what woj tweet says
It seems to say Ayton can agree to a trade before then
Maybe I'm wrong though :) :) :)
I’m pretty sure the rule is that any player signed or resigned this off-season can not be traded to another team until December, but by matching the offer sheet, he can’t be traded without consent for a full year. Maybe I have that wrong though.

It says can’t lol.

Copy and pasted: As soon as the Suns received the four-year, $133M offer sheet, the franchise matched it. Deandre Ayton returns to Phoenix and can't be traded without his consent for a full year.

I see some interesting wording there. WITHOUT HIS CONSENT.
The way it reads is that he can be traded if he is down with the trade.

Tbh, if I were the Knicks, I’d be worried that Brooklyn gets to work in earnest on trading Durant and they’ll probably want Mitchell even more now that Ayton’s off the board and they can’t use him in any deal.

Jan. 15th for Ayton and he has veto rights for a year. Basically they will have him next year. He can't be traded to Indiana for a full calendar year.

Gonna be really awkward in Phoenix.

It usually is when a RFA signs an offer sheet. Indy should’ve been making sure to include unfavorable terms to encourage Phoenix to not match it. Either way, Ayton gets paid.

I think they legit thought they wouldn't match.

I wouldn't do it. What if the Jazz gave everything they just got for Rudy to Brooklyn for Durrant. Would the Jazz be contenders?

Gotta salary match, too.

KD to Phoenix is dead.
Technically, I think it would just take Bridges, C. Johnson & Crowder. Whether the Nets want that package is a whole 'nother question. But some Suns fans are holding out hope that Durant will strong-arm his way to Phoenix even with this kind of offer.

Tim MacMahon was on with Zac Lowe and mentioned the Raptors have interest in Bogey.
Not sure what the deal is… Trent jr and a pick? Seems those guys would have equal value or close to it… not sure if it’d be a three team deal or we have interest in Trent?

We were reported to have interest in Trent earlier in the offseason, but obviously a lot's changed since then. Not sure if we're still interested now that we're tanking.

Would think Beasley would be redundant as well.
