We can probably put this to bed with the addition of Collins and the retention of THT and Olynyk. JC opting in will remove the cap space necessary to make an offer, and his opting out will remove the ability to trade him (which I think is the wrinkle that might get the Lakers to loosen their grip).

Yeah I was thinking Clarkson + their FRP back? It would save them a bundle of cash and they supposedly drafted Schifino-Hood as a potential Reaves replacement.

Unfortunately I think it's probably a lost cause at this point.
