2023 NBA Free Agency Thread

Other than the JC extension it will be radio science for us in the FA market.

The trade market is being aggressively explored with much more fluid timing.

Team wants to win next season and we have a ton of draft capital/flexible contracts. It’s really quite exciting.
So we trading for Immanuel Quickley huh?

I figured the remaining space was for a JC extension and we d make a move elsewhere.

The deal I’m waiting for is the Donte to the Knicks. When that happens I bet we see a trade. The only thing I saw that happened today that bummed me out was Monte Morris to the Pistons. He was traded for peanuts and is a very nice solid player.

Our transactions are likely down the road a bit in FA as teams work through their options.

True. And, often, people change. Both could be true.
Not saying it couldn't, but I've learned to trust my judgment.

Familial experience has taught me that public perceptions are sometimes not correct. I'll just say my step father was an psychologically abusive alcoholic and my mother's mother-in-law was THE most inconsiderate ***** this side of Peggy Bundy. When they died, everyone was singing their praises like they were angels while it took everything I had to not bust a gut in their middle of their services. Literally, my mother and I took turns glancing at the other daring each other to lose it.

Generally speaking though, those instances I get from Joe are that he wasn't a womanizer or anything else along those lines. Probably a bit of a Grady to folks and certainly rubbed some folks the wrong way, but I do think he tried to keep his pants on.

Brother you do not know Joe Ingles.

Forgive me for a dumb question that no one probably even actually has an answer to, but when the Joe Ingles news broke today Spence and Monson both hinted at the fact that Ingles wasn’t as happy as we all thought he was here.. Monson also mentioned that he has several stories that he decided not to share about how the team and front office weren’t too fond of him either and that he actually had a lot of issues… does anyone know anymore about this? Are there any rumors that went around about this? Sorry again I don’t browse here too often anymore and this is off topic. I didn’t know where else to post this, and I’m sure I’m several years late on this information, but I’m just so curious about this because by all accounts I thought everyone loved him, and that he was really content with being here.
Wow, both Monson AND Spence? Those have to be the biggest pimples on the *** of journalism as you can find in the State of Utah. I'd take anything they say with a boulder of salt.

Last year there were murmurs that it wasn't Ingles that was the unifying force in the locker room and it was actually Georges Niang and once he left the locker room broke. No idea if Ingles was actually bad teammate or something... he's quite ironic and sarcastic. I can imagine his type of sense of humor rubbing people the wrong way.

Something like this I could buy simple because Jingles is a troll, everyone knows that, and by nature, Trolls can be abrasive. Also, we got a Rally Churro from Niang, so there is that (not sure who paid for the message, but thanks for that).

He’s not a big combo guard, but he’s a bigger PG. you knew what I meant. There’s a difference in a 6’4 guard and a 6’1 guard.
Nice try smh KG is a combo in every sense of the definition. He could become our pg and if he is 6'4 (doubtful) then that's just the *** on the milk lol
Peoples obsessions with height is laughable whenever it's anything under 6'6 it's irrelevant imo at is petains to court vision against front court defenders or shooting spacing etc.
Got to be elite at shooting with hands in face and although Keyonte has great moves to get open , he is not Hawkins or Steph or one of the rare exceptions who knocks down anything no matter how close the defense gets.
I won't be shocked if Keyonte gets on ball reps over off ball, but it should be as a score first 6 early in his career, unless this org plans to go another 2 seasons in full rebuild

Or that it's not actually humor...
