What's new

Biden Supreme Court Nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson

#1 - Even your twisting isn't true. In the words of Stephen Colbert, it has truthiness but in reality it is only something racists repeat because they want it to be true. The color of someone's skin does not make them a good or bad doctor.
I define "a good doctor" as someone who gives good medical care. A doctor can be a good doctor to one person and a bad doctor to another if the quality of medical care differs, as happens when white doctors treat white patients and black patients. I get that you don't know this, because none of your family is black and you have not invested any time in reading research on differential treatment of patients by race. If you want to expose your deep ignorance on the topic further, I certainly won't recommend you stop; you're an embarrassment to your race and your political views. However, I will recommend you do some research on the topic before posting on impulse.

#2 - Careful attention to detail is the job description of the SCOTUS justices. KBJ is a racist and she's stupid. She is exactly who lefties want in that seat.
Jackson is not a scientist nor mathematician, she's a lawyer. If you read them carefully enough, you'll find SCOTUS rulings are often imprecise on numerical issues, because they are all lawyers (as they should be), and their clerks are all lawyers (as they should be).

Were you genuinely confused about what Jackson intended to say?

Got it. White doctors, apparently every white doctor who treats white patients and black patients, are incapable of providing an equivalent level of care to their patients because of the skin color of the doctor. Does your racism speak to the level of care Asian doctors are capable of providing?

you're an embarrassment to your race
Gawd. Anyone who uses that phrase as an insult pretty much outs themselves. Much like KBJ, I represent myself, thanks.

You said "every", not I, and the statistics speak for themselves. Thank you for continuing to embarrass yourself, your politics, and your race.

I haven't read the research on that.

You are a human, aren't you? You're an embarrassment to the human race. If you thought I meant any other race, that's on you and your racism.

No, the statistics reveal the racism Jackson and I are referring to.
Neither KBJ or you were pointing out racism but rather an inherent ability owed to skin color, and it is no different from the arguments Dutch used to make except at least he used to actually post the statistics he claimed supported his racism.

Neither KBJ or you were pointing out racism but rather an inherent ability owed to skin color,
The inferior treatment black patients receive from non-black doctors, as opposed to black doctors, is a statistical fact. The difference disappears for the treatment of white patients. You're the one explaining this as an "inherent ability", I (and I'm sure Jackson also) attribute this to racism.

and it is no different from the arguments Dutch used to make
It's your interpretations that resemble DutchJazzer's, not mine.

How long until someone equates KBJ with the KGB?

Yes, but in his estimation, some people are more human than others.

That is not what KBJ wrote in her opinion, nor what she meant as that wouldn't make any sense in the context of the case at issue. The problem you describe could be addressed by taking steps to eliminate racism but KBJ's argument is the ability is intrinsic to skin color so that if doctors of the skilled skin color aren't present then people will die due to the lack of skill being present. KBJ is describing a thing that cannot be fixed by taking steps to eliminate racism, but can only be fixed by institutionalizing racism to increase the number of doctors of the skilled skin color. It is racism of the ugliest type, and to support the racist trope she used a fake statistic that even a 4th grader should see is wrong.

Play all the "what she really meant was..." and "she can't be expected to know 4th grade math because she's a lawyer..." games you want, but your interpretation is your interpretation. KBJ's dissent in this case, as she wrote it, is stupid and racist.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH

That is not what KBJ wrote in her opinion,
It quite obviously is, once you get past the inelegant presentation of the numbers.

nor what she meant as that wouldn't make any sense in the context of the case at issue.
That is exactly the issue. Allowing more black doctors to be admitted improves medical care overall (which is a goal of a medical school) because there is a large subset of patients to whom they give better care. That's just one of the reasons DEI/affirmative action improves the overall quality of schools and professions.

The problem you describe could be addressed by taking steps to eliminate racism
Name five steps that could reasonably taken and that you would approve of.

Up and down are both directions, but they are very different when you're at the bottom of a 10' deep pool. Countering racism and fighting the power structure by giving the oppressed more chances is very different from supporting the power structure and keeping the oppressed down.

KBJ's dissent in this case, as she wrote it, is stupid and racist.
Your opinion of it certainly is.

Please cite sources racist.
Tell you what, I'll cite n different studies that support what I said, and you acknowledge I was correct implicitly (you don't even have to say it). You choose the size of "n", and then I'll decide if it's worth the bother.
