What's new

So glad we don’t have to deal with this anymore ……

I do. I’m not a Gobert fan but he’s elite at what he does. Towns is sort of elite and Edwards could be or close.

Mobley isn’t Gobert. And Garland isn’t as good as Towns. Mitchell and Edwards are sort of a wash.

Wait… what? I think Mobley is overrated but he was a DPOY candidate this year and is more of a plus on offense than Gobert. Garland is better than Towns.

Wild *** takes on here but it is the dog days of summer and people are bored.

Some rebuilds have to happen but ours was self inflicted. I would argue that when you trade two all-stars who were still in their prime that long rebuilds make little sense. There were lots of options last year that would have kept us very competitive and we chose a different route. The goal is not to acquire assets and be excited for draft night and the trade deadline, the goal is to win games. IMO it is go time. I would like to see us make the playoffs this year.
Rudy already decline then now more decline

LOL ... Mobley -- first team defense, better offense to Gobert by much plus so much younger. Rudy no team last year defense. Rudy decline, he go back France this year ends.

So you’re basing it off of one playoff series?

Yes, because the Wolves didn't really have a lot of time to mesh together. I'm just basing it on the strength of the players and how they looked together in that series. I am not impressed with Cleveland's squad.

I thought the Wolves looked a lot better against a stronger team.
Add in healthy Jaden and Naz, Shake Milton who should get a chance to shine, the steal of the 2nd rd in Leonard Miller, as well as their best addition in the subtraction of DLo and I think they are a healthy/motivated Kat from being a top 2-3 Western Conference team. Mostly because the WC kinda sucks at the top.

It's weird to me that the Wolves arent a team in the running for Lillard.

I wonder if the Blazers ever become so disillusioned with the Miami package that they settle on a KAT/Dame swap of some sort.

Hot take: Cleveland's best player, Donovan Mitchell, would be the 4th best player on the Wolves.

That’s not even a hot take that’s a ****ing trash take. He’s better than anyone on that roster. Come on dude.

I would rather be in Cleveland's shoes than Minnys for one reason...

MENTAL MAKEUP!!!

Kat is a clown
Rudy gets butthurt more than Hearsky's mom
Edwards is at Popeyes bad mouthing the bigmen

Those are their pillars. And none of them are what I would call 'character guys'.

Their character resides in Mike Conley who imho made the biggest difference for the team last year. Still, he is 36 in October and his step looked slower last year. And he is owed a pretty penny still.

Cleveland can get gobs from New York or Brooklyn for Mitchell (a lot more than Minny can get for Gobert or Kat) whether yall think so or not. I also like their assets better. Garland is a nice player. He took over in the playoffs, but they kept going to Mitchell. Mobley is going to be good. Okoro looked decent at times. And they team plays well together.

Better at chucking you out of the game in crunch time, perhaps. Ant can play on both ends, Gobert is a generational defender and a world class screen setter, and KAT is a bum, but he's a more talented bum than Mitchell.

Gobert took a step back last year so it's pretty hard to say he's better than Mitchell. Same with KAT.

I think Edwards is better tho.

But neither is necessarily a permanent step back. An argument can be made that either of those is a better player than Mitchell.
