Following potential 2012 draftees

What PG did he play alongside of?
I think you missed my point. Dude didn't really demonstrate strong point guard skills early in his career, as the offense was run largely through Tim Duncan. With Hayward, Burks, Millsap, it might not be that important for a future Jazz PG to have great PG skills, and Rivers might then be a viable option in the draft (obviously depending on the Jazz's draft position, if they have any picks at all).

I really don't like Rivers much, but he'll be a good pro .. just watch. I don't like combos either, I just believe Rivers has the 'it' that will make him adapt or find some way to hurt people.

Obviously I'm a homer, but I wouldn't mind taking Rivers. He has skills and he's a smart player. Plus, all he wants to do is win.

Watching. His best game of the year. I don't think we have any shot of drafting him .. unless we lose every game from here out ..

We still have lots of assets to trade up. I wouldn't say we have NO chance of drafting him.

It would have been interesting to see if Howard could have handled those isos. But the Jazz just have to improve their backcourt. They need a PG who can play both sides of the ball convincingly.

It's hard for anyone SF to handle Odom down low. Luckily Odom was actually fairly passive, or he would have torched us even more. Marion was just out working us down low.

Play Millsap at the 3 tonight and there isn't much of an issue from Odom/Marion exploiting mismatches.

But yeah, the Jazz need a real 3 real bad.

That is why he reminds me of MKG in a lot of ways. Both seem to have very loose/distinctive styles.

Not sure I follow you (not disagreeing). What makes MKG's game seem 'very loose' to you? I agree his outside shot leaves room for skepticism, but other than that he is one of the best in the nation at pushing tempo and getting to the rim .. and finishing .. and drawing the and1.

Don't think you get what I say when I mean loose. He has a looseness about his motion, kind of like a Marion, a sort of awkward fluidity (while still being extremely fluid). Not loose as in sloppy (even though he does average more TO's than assist). I guess it's kind of hard to explain.

Oh, I get it. I agree. He has loose body motions (arms for example) ... for example, when he's walking he just seems to have more movement than is necessary, haha.
When he's attacking, though, he's very deliberate.

I've said for a couple years that a PG drought is coming .. sans one. In the freshman class of 2013 (collegiate freshmen .. so 2014 draft) is the one I've been referring to. Haven't shared much because it's so far away and we most likely have no chance. Having said that, the #1 player in the class of 2013, Andrew Harrison (currently 6'5, 205).

I am really interested in seeing how Quincy Miller and PJ3 tomorrow. After a very disappointing loss to Kansas and going up against a good Missouri team, Will they step up or will they hide? I hope that they come out with fire, but I really don't know if it will happen, that is the sad thing.
