Following potential 2012 draftees

Burke also has taken the vocal leader for this team. I would love to see him in a Jazz uni. I think he possibly comes out if Hardaway does as well.

As amazing of a freshman season Burke has had, I think he has to stay one more year. Get a little more size and showcase his passing skills. But what a leader - he has heart, he's aggressive, has a nice offensive game and his defense is improving each game.

I still think worst case scenario: Eric Maynor
Best case scenario: Kevin Johnson

The sad part would be, if the jazz draft Burke, is no hot rod to get burks and burke's names messed up all the time.

Boler still refers to Alec Burks as Eric Burks. I think he wouldn't have any trouble messing up Burke and Burks.

I am hoping the jazz can some how nab Scott machado in this draft could do a lot worse for 3rd point guard that could just pull a millsap and become a starter with some work.

I will hold off any opinions until:
1. I actually see him play.
2. I see him play a top 50 team.

If we only have 1 pick and its around 7-10 range, who'd you take?

I think we need a shooter more than anything. I would really like Jeremy Lamb but I don't think he falls past 5. Who are some other shooters and would you rather take a SG or SF that can shoot?

We definitely need a SF over a SG.

If he's available around #10, I'd take Quincy Miller. Can penetrate AND shoot decently well. Has bust potential, but he could turn into a complete stud.

Well if the Jazz keep playing this great and GS continues to suck then all this draft talk is pointless. I can really see the Jazz making the playoffs. I just hope that GS steps it up so at least we get a pick in this deep draft.

Look at the standings. GS is starting to win. Nate Robinson has really helped that team.

Did MKG get injured? Just looked at the box score and he hasn't done much in terms of #'s or attempts.

You've made it abundantly clear that you don't want Gilchrist. That's fair and I think you have solid reasons that support your concerns.
Having said that, Gilchrist has had monster games (24 and 19, for example), always stuffs that stats against top 15 competition, and you have never once said anything positive about those games ... again, fair enough.

So you pick last nights game to 'look at the boxscore' and ask if he was injured when the stats show; 10pts, 4rbs, 4asts, 1blk .. with better than 50% FG and 100% from the line. Kind of ignorant to ask if he's injured, imo. Though I'm unsure if your question had an ounce of sincerity, I'll answer.

No, he wasn't injured. MKG is a load of a scorer on the nights when his teammates' shots aren't falling or the offense becomes stagnant. Last night, his team was rolling and he just did all the little things to support his team. With Davis grabbing 27pts, 14rbs, and 7blks and 5 players in double figures, MKG just didn't feel the need to take more than 7 shots.

Hope that helps.

Calm down bro. I looked at the boxscore at the 15 minute mark in the 2nd half and saw he was 0-1 from the field, 2 of 2 from the FT line, had 1 rebound, 2 TO's and 1 steal. I didn't say it at the end of the game. I then promptly turned the game on for a second and saw he wasn't in the game at the time. Obviously I didn't watch any of last nights game because of the Jazz game.

Jeremy Lamb's 3pt% is plummeting. Was recently 46%, iirc. His last 4 or 5 games he's 3 for 18 and now, for the year, he's around 35% ... roughly the same % as Andre Drummond's FT% .. ouch.

Nah, just doing all the **** work. He's playing well .. but hasn't been trained by Boozer.

Davis on the other hand is ...... unbelievably good.

I have to say, MKG's shooting form on jumpers looks like Ronnie Brewer's. Not sure why he hasn't fixed that.

Coaching staff working slowly on his form and release. His shot isn't terrible, but the form is so bad it won't likely get any better without an overhaul.
Right now he's bringing the ball to the opposite side of his head of his shooting arm prior to releasing. That's what gives him the hitch. Taking it slowly rather than trying to fix it overnight.

It's not just a hitch, it's the way he positions the ball and that his shooting hand comes off the ball sideways. Maybe this was just a few shots I saw, but he missed a 15' jumper badly like he had little control over the ball.

His mechanics are poor, but he's hitting a higher FG% (55) than any of Barnes or Miller. Even his 3pt shooting % (35) is roughly equal to QMIller, Brad Beal, and JLamb. That's why the staff is taking it slowly.
