Following potential 2012 draftees

I think Damian Lillard would be an appealing prospect for the Jazz. Good physical tools, good stroke, good aggressiveness....needs to learn to play the PG. He'd be a bit of a work in progress, but he brings enough to the table, especially if Hayward is going to be facilitating the offense. I think he could be a Billups/Cassel-type player--a guy whose game opens up based on his ability to shoot on a dime.

I also think the Jazz have to look at Terrence Ross as the replacement for CJ Miles, a confident shooter who can play SF while Burks and Hayward slash and create.

Separate note: I'm still not convinced that Perry Jones is really a better player than Terrence Jones. If T. Jones were on Baylor, I think he'd put up numbers that are equal to or better than PJIII. He gets overshadowed a bit on KU being sandwiched between Kidd-Gilchrist and Anthony Davis.

PKM definitely knows more than me...but I think that Terrence Jones seems pretty mentally weak.

Yep. He has tons of upside .. tons. However, he has consistently shown that he folds in a tough situation (exactly the opposite of MKG).

i have always been pro t. Jones but watching him this year and i dont want him on the Jazz but he has also proven he is a PF not a SF. I worry about his mind and maturity.

Agree. He's a tweener .. a PF/SF rather than a SF/PF.

He is hitting 45% from 3 this year and he does a nice job taking his man off the dribble and get to the rim .. so there is that. I'm just concerned that he lets things get in his head and get him unfocused.

If he's more of a PF than a SF (and he is, not that there's anymore room for even a hybrid F at this point), then why are we even talking about him? Give me Millsap 8 days of the week.

Jordan Taylor is from Wisconsin. I really don't like Marshall as a pro prospect, I wouldn't be very happy if we drafted him. I think the guy I'm highest on is Damon Lillard. I don't know anything about Nedovic...details on him?

Thanks.

Nedovic is a guy that Givony (DraftExpress) was really high on. He's a bit of a combo guard and not producing that great right now, but he's supposed to have a ****-load of moxy and he's still quite young (20). 6' 4", 200 lbs 32/41 vert. I don't know a lot, though.

I am taking quite a shining to Lillard as well. Not to be John Stockton or Deron, but as someone that can handle the ball some sets and spread the floor on all of them.

Jordan Taylor is built like a tank but it is hard to gage anyone coming out of Wisconsin. He could easily be a Derek fisher type of player built the same decent shooter great defender.

Great point. While I'd love a superstar at every position, if I have to settle, I'll settle on a guy that Ds up, can facilitate an offense, and is able to hit bombs. His shooting this year is definitely disconcerting, though.

And on my saying the Jazz 'have to draft a PG' I'm not suggesting that the longterm answer is even in this draft. But even a backup. Someone to bring in and keep around longterm as I get the feeling the position will just be a revolving door over the years to come.

I'm not saying I want Terrence Jones or that he'd fit with the Jazz. I'm saying I don't think Perry Jones is really a better player when the chips are down.

We haven't been. He was brought up, for the first time in more than a month, and everyone here agreed he wasn't for the Jazz.

If we only have 1 pick and its around 7-10 range, who'd you take?

I think we need a shooter more than anything. I would really like Jeremy Lamb but I don't think he falls past 5. Who are some other shooters and would you rather take a SG or SF that can shoot?

I know I've mentioned him a few times. T Burke is going to be a solid pro. Playing State now on ESPN.
His assist numbers are deceiving as he had hit a few wide open players that can't hit anything (Hardaway). The potential is through the roof with this kid.

Burke also has taken the vocal leader for this team. I would love to see him in a Jazz uni. I think he possibly comes out if Hardaway does as well.

BURKE!!!! Yes!!! Can't believe the kid is a true freshman! Go Blue Baby!!!!!!

Also awesome seeing Denard Robinson front and center excited for the basketball team.

Just got back from the game! Burke carried that team through the whole game and played the best defense I've seen him play. If he stays one more year with Hardaway this team is going to be dangerous next year. Go Blue!
