A Mitt Romney and Condoleeza Rice ticket?

I accept that you earnestly mean this. I want to be clear: throughout this discussion, I have assumed that you feel you are being fair, impartial, and not racist in the slightest. I have no ill thoughts of you as a person.

Then we are all good.

After Obama's acceptance speech promising all this change I think the majority of the country was rallying around him. I thought that speech was amazing. The problem is that the change never came.

Yes, I agree there has been instances in about every presidency where the majority rallied... Bush for a time post 9/11 (possibly), the acceptance speech, Osama (possibly). But can't remember the last time I felt that the president had the nation's support for a prolonged period of time.

Osama he says.

Your words are soaked in the privilege of those with lighter skin.

I have to admit that this made me laugh. I experienced rascism and discrimination first hand. I have been assaulted, beaten, denied service, spit on, insulted, denied membership and other similar things on a continuing on going basis. So I do have a day to day knowledge of how it feels.

Osama he says.

Either you missed that he meant Osama as in Bin Laden or you mean that he was not kille dunder Bush. Either way Bush did get support because of Bin Laden. Bush was able to put a face to the enemy and that lead to support. It was a firm goal.

Let's get real about racism. Anyone focused on their race like it is the first and foremost thing that matters in life is a racist and spits in the face of MLK jr. and his dream.

The following are racist:

The congressional black caucus
NAACP
La Raza
BET
Any black who calls another black person an "uncle tom"
Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Rev. Wright...exclusive black churches
Obama(white cop, white grandma comments) & his justice department (won't prosecute racism by blacks and other minorities)

Liberals have won blacks to their party by handing out government goodies and making them as dependent on government as they were on plantation masters.
Newt explained the Conservative perspective perfectly in the last debate, “I believe every American of every background has been endowed by their creator with the right to pursue happiness. And if that makes liberals unhappy, I'm going to continue to find ways to help poor people learn how to get a job, learn how to get a better job and learn some day to own the job.”

As for Obama being the Food Stamp President:

Newt explains, “The fact is that more people have been put on food stamps by Barack Obama than any president in American history. I know among the politically correct, you're not supposed to use facts that are uncomfortable.”

As for a VP pick by the Republican candidate. They could very well pull a McCain and pick someone no one ever expected.

I like how people equate "getting real" about something means get with their opinion. I am neither agreeing or disagreeing with Millsapa. Just an observation.

Feel free to correct me, then. What were the circumstances?

Thank you for interpreting King's dream for us, so that it puts organizaitons like the NAACP outside of it. It's amusing, shallow, and ignorant of how King himself expressed detaisl about how to achieve his dream.

Also, it's really fun to watch you attack the character a large group of people, whose only common charateristic is skin color, by saying they can be bought by "government goodies" and made dependent on them to the degree that they will subject their children to poverty. You're not racist, though, not a bit, right?

I'm sure there are a few small churches that were exclusive in membership. What makes you think Jeremiah Wright ran one of them? Do you have any testimony from whites turned away at the door?

It's nice to know Gingrich will "continue" to find ways to help poor people learn how to get a job. What are the ways he is currently using?

People are jumping the gun on a "Romney" vp pick. Romney hasn't gotten the nomination yet.

After Newt's home run last night in the debate things could change in SC, and there is disputes about the Romney win in Iowa.

Polls and intrade are looking up for Newt, but I don't know how this liberal drive-by media hit on Newt is going to play into it. The debate tonight could change things as well.

Santorum now has Iowa. Will that matter for him in the long run?

Perry has bowed out and endorsed Newt.

Crazy.

It is obvious how an organization only seeking the Advancement of Colored people completely missed the point of Kings wish that people make character more important than skin color.

As Santorum said, "It’s very interesting, if you look at a study that was done by the Brookings Institute back in 2009, they determined that if Americans do three things, they can avoid poverty. Three things. Work, graduate from high school, and get married before you have children. Those three things…"

Addressing a packed congregation at one of the city’s largest black churches, Senator Barack Obama on Sunday invoked his own absent father to deliver a sharp message to African-American men, saying, “We need fathers to realize that responsibility does not end at conception.”

I simply said he was a racist, but I'm certain his famous "white folks’ greed runs a world in need" speech wouldn't exactly be all that appealing to them.

This is one of the times I'm just think "Poe's Law".

Really, avoiding being arrested wasn't on the list? Thanks, Sound-byte Sally. Good find.

Was that supposed to be relevant to the conversation?

You referred to "...exclusive black churches". You're not doing your Poe work very well. You need more consistancy to make it believable.

Although, I think you're right about the message not being popular among certain people. This thread provides confirmation, no doubt.

Denial does not alter a person having been a victim.

Denial would be be denying it happened. I admitted it so there goes your denial theory but I will not let others dictate my actions or emotions.

Edit: I understand that I was a victim or rascism but I don't dwell on it.I do not see myself as a victim. I have moved on.

Denial also means denying there is an impact on you as a person. For example, when a person dies, their spouse often goes through a short period where they act like life has changed very little, and do not do much grieving. We refer to that period as "denial". It doesn'[t mean they refuse to acknowledge the death happened.

So becasue some guy hated me because I am white I am supposed to let it affect me? Hell no. I know what I am worth and my daughters still love me and nothing some rascist says or does can change that.

That guy is responsible for his actions just as I am responsible for mine and how I choose to react. If a rascist wants to be a pathetic loser. That is on them and I will be me wether they like it or not. The moment I let them change who I am is the moment they win.

I am done talking about it because it is not who I am. Change the subject.
