Off-Season Rumblings

If we could get to Denver great but right now best we can do is a $59 ticket to Bentonville Arkansas with no promise of ever getting out… just save your money or drive to Atlanta to get a direct flight to the promised land.
Coming back to this, I just read this to my wife. She laughed and wanted to know where you’re finding $59 tickets to Bentonville because they’re usually a thousand.

Listened to Bulls Talk pod with KC Johnson who has been behind the reporting that the price on Zach is lower. They proposed a Zach for Isaac deal to Orlando. I think by how they were talking about Isaac that they don’t quite understand how good he was this year. But it was interesting. Isaac is a better trade package than JCx2 by a lot imo. I also don’t think Orlando does that. The fit there could be pretty good though and I hadn’t thought about that one. Might be more of a Cole Anthony for Lavine and maybe Orlando sends something else but thought it was interesting.
I would much rather trade for Isaac than Lavine. At least I can envision a role for Isaac on a contending team. What's the role of Lavine on a contender? Sixth man? For 45M a year?

There's a lot of health risk with JI tho

I’m not sure about a contender, but I know what his role on this team would be. He’d occupy a Collins-like spot, where numerous people tout him being free, talk about how we landed an all star for nothing, and a year from now everyone just wanting an off-ramp but not thrilled about anymore asset dump or opportunity cost to offload him, nor thrilled about the kind of returning salary coming back to move him, so we begrudgingly move forward saying, “it’s fine. It’s not great but it’s fine.”

Biggest problem with this comparison is LaVine is an all-star level player.

Lavine is not all star level. hes paid like he is, but he is nowhere near allstar. the bulls were better without him.

It’s very well known that you can catch a crop duster flight from Macon to Bentonville if you simply slip the pilot a few bucks… don’t go to the front desk… just go out back and find this guy.

Zach Lavine has a player option at $49M for the 26/27 season. Most teams are going to consider his contract prohibitive. He might be a fit for the Lakers if they think they can squeeze out one more playoff run.
His contract sends salary to the moon and they operate like a poverty franchise. They are supposedly uninterested… for now.

I think he’s a very good scorer on a good team. He may be a gunner but he’s generally really efficient. Defensively he’s really rough but not like our guards are lockdown defenders.

Yeah and he’s on an expiring deal… Zach has his own health issues (not nearly as bad as JI) but has 3/150+ so he’d be the bigger injury risk imo.

To be clear I don’t want Lavine or BI or anyone that helps us chase the play in. I just think the price on Zach eventually catches DAs eye like.

I’m happy taking the bus from Macon to Sacramento or whatever.

And that will be the justification for saying, “it’s different this time.”

It will be the lube that will help slip the dildo of despair farther into this franchise.

That pilot is going to get me to Denver. And my stop is SLC and not Sacramento so IDGAF. Besides, if I don’t get on that plane, I’m only a few steps away from becoming this guy:

you can advocate all you want for lavine, he wont help the jazz. lavine is poison to championship teams. overpaid and selfish. 49 million makes collins look underpaid. we need to reach higher, dream bigger, or completely tank

Bruh… dildo of despair is what my wife calls my ******.
