Lol. If that's the way campaign are run, then why are they still refuting the 2020 election. The people have spoken thru the ballot box and yet they went to court over 60 times to contest the election and all were thrown out.

Also, this was a criminal case, not an election, and they're contested in the courts, which found his client guilty unanimously by 12 of Trump's peers.

The line you quoted wasn't what caused Stephanopoulos to cut off the conversation. It was the mention of one name: Matthew Colangelo.

Trump's lawyer said Biden's administration was orchestrating the prosecution of Trump. Stephanopoulos retorted with a claim of there being no evidence Biden was involved. Trump's lawyer, oh yes there was and started to talk about Matthew Colangelo. Stephanopoulos freaked out on air, began quickly and loudly talking over Trump's lawyer so the lawyer's words couldn't be made out before effectively cutting to commercial to stop him from talking about Matthew Colangelo.

Just want to reiterate.

Some people are upset the trump is being investigated during a political campaign. They think it's election interference and the voters should simply decide at the polls.

Trump spouted off his entire campaign in 2016 about how Hilary is a criminal and needs to be investigated. Lock her up!

Trump told the leader of a foreign country that he would give that country the money that Congress had promised unless that country investigated Trump's political opponent.

This is all on tape and video.

Biden did none of this.

Now, with the NY conviction, they turned to rhetoric that one might normally see uttered as part of the prelude to civil war. How do they walk away from such rhetoric? Can anyone really imagine our US history texts being rewritten to reflect Trump and MAGA’s alternate reality? It will never happen, the Truth will win out eventually. Yep.

Trump however, encapsulates the grievance that the GOP base feels. So losing actually feeds their anger (and feels better) than winning.
