Please post all suggestions here...not like I expect to happen, but nobody can bitch to me about not trying.

For the record I'm digging the Heinrich idea the most, though I doubt it happens.

Wish v. 2.0 Reggie Jackson. Not quite the mancrush I got on Rondo but this guy might be better than any PG in the current draft.

Maynor is hurt so this season will show weather or not I'm right on RJ. His arms are so long, when he's approaching the half court with his knees bent his fingertips practically brush the hardwood. Seriously.

Is it not apparent that the Jazz front office has read PKM's post and now realize there is not a top guard coming out in the next two years. Due to this knowledge, they have decided to trade Harris and start giving some minutes to Burks at point guard.

I do think Burks as a PG should at least be explored. The biggest concern I have with him there is his lack of passing so far.
He has had some good passes despite his lack of assists. He was a good passer in college.

I just want to see Burks on the floor more with the ball in his hands.

I would rather see if the Jazz could trade Harris for a shooter. I know this is highly unlikely since Harris has been so crappy that the Jazz are not going to get any good shooters for a crappy PG.

At this point I would take a high second round pick for him + taking on a bad contract (one year). A good vet who will not cause any issues regarding playing time. Then I would just play Tinsley and Burks at the PG. For this year I think Watson/Tinsley/Burks can handle the PG short-term. THis will give the Jazz a chance to see if Burks can actually play PG in the NBA.

If they can't trade Harris then he needs to be benched until he can prove he deserves the starting PG position. CJ has played better after having his minutes cut. Perhaps this will work for Harris.

Burks is out of control with the ball and lost as a SG. What does he do currently that makes anyone think he is ready to get time as a PG?

He breathes, he's on the roster, and his name isn't Devin Harris.

I'm not advocating for anything more than spot duty... but I want to see that happen.

If KOC has to give up assets in order to make a relatively lateral move involving Harris, then he's compromising his vision for this team a couple of years down the line. In other words, you don't give up assets for that future in order to win a few more games now. That is not his primary goal. If you can dump Harris for even a few ADDITIONAL future assets (as paltry as those may be at this point), then, it could be argued, that is the better move. In my mind, that scenario likely involves giving Burks A LITTLE run at the PG. Nothing more than 7mpg.
